On Monday we went to Gino's for a birthday party & it was amazing! The food was delicious & the service was amazing & I could not recommend enough! 10/10 experience
Amazing dicovery for me & my friends. The menu is simple yet you get a lot of choices for appetizers, drinks & desserts. Everything is well thought & the atmosphere is so relaxing & smooth. We loved the atmosphere so much that sometimes when we are close to Gino's, we go there just for desserts & coffee.
We went there as a group of 10-12 & the service & the food were impeccable.
I recommend everyone to go there at least once. Thank me later.
Fantastic experience! Lasagna, both meat & aubergine, delicious & so authentic. Negronis great. Service impeccable. Our few small special requests were honoured happily & accurately. Will absolutely recommend & return!

I've been coming to Gino's since it opened - for date nights, business dinners, my graduation, & even my partner's birthday with 30 friends & family. The food is always top-notch, & they were generous enough to offer extra bottles of Negroni. It's a gem in the city & the kind of place you're proud to show off
There were certain things that could have improved from our experience.
Some of the options were not available from the menu which was a bit of a letdown. There was only 1 type of lasagna left. So we were out of other options for a main dish, & the tuna affumicato was too salty, basically inedible. It's cured tuna, it makes sense that it's salty, but it was too much. Honestly shouldn't even be on the menu.
Apart from that, the food was really good!

Nous avons mangé pour la première fois chez Gino's en mai 2024 ce qui était pour moi les meilleures lasagnes de mon existence. Toutefois, notre dernier souper (avril 2025) fut moins exaltant puisque la qualité des lasagnes était bien différente. Ce qui en faisait leur caractère exceptionnel n'est plus. La recette de la pâte à lasagne a changé & leur goût aussi. Nous sommes déçus de ce changement qui nous conduirons à ne plus revenir malheureusement manger des lasagnes chez Gino's.
Absolutely fabulous restaurant ! The Negroni cocktails are a unique & trendsetting start to the delicious starters. The wine selected by our waiter was a perfect choice to accompany the melt in your mouth lasagne !! No room for the dessert this time but still thinking about the mango salted caramel mouse. The atmosphere is young & eclectic, & the music was the perfect choice volume level for a restaurant. I will be back ....
Petite place très sympa. Service assez rapide & sympathique.
Les lasagnes étaient vraiment très bonnes rien à dire c'était top portion & qualité. Les cocktails étaient bons mais trop dispendieux pour ce que c'est.
2 déceptions néanmoins avec la mozza fritta qui avait dû s'ouvrir avant qu'on nous la serve donc toute plate & gros manque d'assaisonnement.
Le tiramisu a été renvoyé car 10 fois trop liquide il faut revoir la texture même si le goût y était sûrement.

Décevant, déjà en entrant dans le restaurant, nous sommes restés une dizaine de minutes à attendre d'être placés. Ensuite nous nous retrouvons placés en face de la porte d'entrée malgré une réservation. Toujours un plaisir en plein hiver. Enfin, nous avons attendu près de 30 minutes avant que l'on vienne prendre notre commande.
La nourriture était correcte sans être exceptionnelle & les portions bien trop petites pour le prix.
Bon cocktails cependant.
Over cooked lasagna yet flavourful, polpete sliced with a razor blade. Salads were great. Reasonably priced. Beer served in the smallest possible glass.
Amazing dinner at Gino's!!! The cocktails were great, lasagna simply out of this world (both the vegetarian & the meat option). Unfortunately the end of our meal was a tad disappointing as the tiramisu was more of a tiramisoup. Thankfully our waiter kindly removed it from our bill, easing our disappointment. Overall a fabulous meal & experience & I will definitely be back!! (Perhaps willing to give the tiramisu a second try 😉) Thank you Gino's, we left with a happy tummy & happy hearts :))
J'ai eu l'impression de retourner dans le quartier de Trastevere à Rome : bonne cuisine, atmosphère sympathique, service acceptable & prix raisonnable ! Je reviendrai dans ce Trastevere de Montréal.
