Ginkgo Café Bar is widely appreciated for its beautiful, sunlit atmosphere and flavorful menu, particularly its popular brunch items like pancakes, poutine, and unique egg dishes. While many guests enjoy the cozy, aesthetic vibe and find the food delicious and generous in portion, experiences remain inconsistent due to fluctuating service standards. Common feedback highlights the need for better staff coordination, cleaner dining areas, and more consistent attention to detail regarding menu accuracy and service timing. Despite some mixed feelings regarding pricing and occasional lapses in professionalism, many visitors find it a convenient and enjoyable spot for a casual coffee, meal, or happy hour, especially given its location.
Came here for breakfast. There's construction outside so a little hard to get in. Place was not populated, was about 8:30am. Was greeted by a beautiful hostess. Had one of the egg packages with sausage, ham, bread, potatoes & crepes. Pretty good deal to be honest.
First visit here was disappointing unfortunately & I wouldn't come back. The staff were lovely but I found a hair in my food. Door is left open so there were flies & a bird inside the restaurant. Food was ok. Was expecting peameal bacon on the bendict but it was served with thin streaky bacon. Mimosa was very weak & seemed like just orange juice.

The restaurant is gorgeous, services was quick & the food was nicely done.
We tried the complet which came with a generous plate of salty & sweets, & the demi-demi béné. Eggs were perfectly cooked, the sizes appropriate & everything matches what you would expect.
A touch of originality would be needed for the presentation itself but overall very good performance
The food was amazing but I will say the staff seemed a bit snobby because we didn't have a reservation. I personally tipped but my friend did not & she was called out for it. She was told 15% was mandatory, which I understand is an etiquette that we should all share but to shamed for it was not something I was expecting.
