Le designer Jacques Gaspo du groupe Foodtastic (derrière La Belle & La Boeuf, Souvlaki Bar, Carlos & Pepe’s, Le Blossom, les nouveaux Nickels et Bacaro Pizzeria) a développé Gatto Matto pendant deux ans. Un concept révolutionnaire et avant-gardiste Art Déco à thématique flower bar qui est une fusion entre Chicago et l’Italie. Utilisant des matériaux premiums dessinés et fabriqués à Montréal, l’alliage des éléments se marient à merveille. Des couleurs vives et éclatantes donnent un facteur WOW qui vous ferait sentir comme dans un hôtel moderne de Milan avec une touche girly. La création de la cuisine à aire ouverte encore jamais vu à Montréal (en collaboration avec Hagop Hagopian, directeur des opérations Foodtastic et expert en design cuisine) permet de voir à l’œuvre les meilleurs chefs de la région. We were a few girls going out to eat for birthday night & we did reserve a table.
The food had limiting options & werent so diverse, but it tasted exquisite. However, the parmesan fries were extremely salty & not so appetizing. The portions were incredibly small too & way too overpriced. The waiter also took too much time to serve us in the beginning.
We were an hour in, almost done with our food when our waiter would ask is with an irritated tone if we were done, as if she wanted us out. She didn't try to hide it. We also stayed for a while to order dessert & she comes up to us asking us if we wanted anything else to see if we would leave in an annoyed tone. It was only an hour in & she already looked fed up.
Overall, the service was one of the worst, & the waiters didn't try to hide their unpleasantness. Even after paying the bill, they immediately come to us telling us to leave because they're expecting other people. The waiter tried to act interested when it came to tipping & it was one of those fake enthusiasm. As someone who works in restaurant service, it is incredible how you throw people out for other customers. Service should be equal & not biased. The way we got treated just because we were young adults speaks volume. Sadly, would not be returning & avoid going here if you want to have a top notch service.

Boot.
I ordered the pistachio burrata spaghetti & don't let the portion size deceive you. I was very full after & found the portion generous.
I want to add that the fries were a letdown. These were oil-logged. & after a few bites I couldn't have anymore. Also, while I found the prices for everything on the menu very reasonable, I found it was overpriced for the fries (not including the fact that our plate of fries was untouched because of the oil).
For the dessert we had the Nutella bomboloni. Delicious & was one of the better bomboloni I've ever had.
This place had the music turned up way too loud. It's a mix of popular 2000s hits retuned to a dance beat. While it was nice to hop to a dance version of'smooth operator', this made conversation impossible. & I do recall leaving with a headache.

Une expérience exceptionnelle du début à la fin ! Tout était absolument délicieux, des entrées jusqu'au dessert - des saveurs bien équilibrées, des produits frais, une cuisine maîtrisée. Un grand merci à notre serveuse, Coralie, qui a été tout simplement excellente : chaleureuse, attentionnée, professionnelle & d'une grande gentillesse. Elle a grandement contribué à rendre notre soirée encore plus agréable. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter !

I had an incredible dining experience at Gatto Matto! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was vibrant & stylish, with a perfect mix of modern & classic Italian charm. The service was outstanding-our server was friendly, knowledgeable, & attentive without being intrusive. The food was absolutely delicious! Every dish was beautifully presented & packed with flavor. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauces were rich & well-balanced, & the ingredients tasted fresh & high-quality. The cocktail menu was also impressive, with creative & well-crafted drinks. To top it all off, the desserts were divine! The tiramisu was one of the best I've ever had-light, creamy, & full of flavor. If you're looking for an unforgettable Italian dining experience, Gatto Matto is the place to go. Highly recommend & can't wait to return!

I'm a regular at this place, for good reason. Gatto Matto never disappoints. From the appetizers to the mains to dessert. Each course satisfies the palate!!! Service is always with a smile with a knowledgeable staff. This place is a must!!!

My burrata salad was the highlights. The pizza was a little too salty,the calamari very peppery. Desserts are very good. The music is very loud, be ready to scream. So much was happening that it makes it fun to people watch.

My husband & I came for our anniversary & we really loved it, from the service to the food everything was excellent, the place is very beautiful & the staff is very kind & attentive, Thomas was excellent & Ara was very cordial with us. We tried the fries with parmesan cheese as a starter (the portion surprised us, much bigger than we imagined & they were delicious), for the main course we ordered the spaghetti with lobster & wow it was so good, the portion was again very generous & for dessert we had brownie a la moda it was a gift from the owner for our anniversary (that made us feel soo special)😍 we will definitely come back many more times!

Invitation surprise de notre couple d'amis ! Belle surprise & belle découverte ! L'ambiance du samedi soir était incroyable ! Amélie, notre serveuse, nous a traité comme des rois! Beau sourire, sympathique & efficace, elle a fait en sorte de nous faire vivre une belle expérience ! Nous avons pris un pichet de sangria, SUIVEZ LE ROSE, au melon d'eau pour commencer notre soirée... rafraîchissante & délicieuse ! Nous avons partagé deux entrées, le CHOU-FLEUR CACIO E PEPE (après ça vous allez adorer ce légume ! ) & CALAMAR FRITTI (tendres & goûteux). Repas principal, LASAGNE À 50 ÉTAGES, RIGATONI À LA VODKA ROSÉE & menu spécial, SAUMON GRILLÉ SAUCE BÉARNAISE . Tout était chaud & délicieux. Shawn, le propriétaire nous a gentiment offert un shooter au melon, exquis! On voulais passer le dessert mais... On s'est laissé tenter par le MI-CUIT AU CHOCOLAT , wow! & pourquoi pas un shooter Hot Shot ! Le décor est magnifique, la musique n'est pas trop forte, la terrasse est belle & le personnel est sympathique... Tout pour passer un bon moment ! Oh! Le stationnement est à la porte 13, sous la place Bell & il est gratuit, demandez votre coupon à votre serveuse. Merci, il y a longtemps que je n'avais pas passé un si beau moment !

Nous avons passé une superbe soirée & notre serveuse Laurie était exceptionnelle. Les plats sont succulents copieux & les assiettes sont vraiment bien garnies. J'ai testé les calamaris en entrée, & avons partagé trois plats : risotto au homard, pâtes pistaches burrata & pesto ainsi que les pâtes au boeufs braisés. Je recommande chaque plat. Pour les dessert nous avons partagé tarte aux baies & gâteau au carottes, très grandes portions, j'en ai eu pour mon argent 😊. Très belle découverte pour le mocktail: jus de melon hibiscus & limonade je crois! Délicieux. Le seul bémol c'était la musique qui était beaucoup trop forte, on ne s'entendait pas parler! Mais les choix musicaux au top! J'ai vraiment passé une belle soirée je reviendrais & je recommande 🤩

The restaurant vibes are amazing - fresh, clean & trendy - food is ok however not wow- could be muchly elevated in term of taste while presentation is nice - the only dish I loved was the pasta - had a pasta , pizza & appetizers & dessert - value for money is very good -service can be improved - more menu knowledge is required

Dès mon entrée, j'ai été accueilli par un service incroyable. Caroline, notre serveuse, était excellente. En ce qui concerne les plats, je dois dire que la lasagne 50 étages était tout simplement divine, elle était parfaite. Le tartare de saumon était également exquis, d'une fraîcheur inégalée, idem pour les calmars. Quant au dessert, les bouchées dégustation étaient un véritable festin pour les papilles. Tout était parfaitement orchestré, de l'entraide entre les serveurs à la présence attentive du gérant/directeur/propriétaire, en fait j'ignore qui ils étaient. Ce que je peux dire c'est qu'ils ont contribué à rendre cette soirée spéciale, je pense qu'il est juste de reconnaître le dévouement de toute l'équipe. Noter que malgré le restaurant complet, le service n'a jamais faibli. Je recommande vivement ce restaurant.

Endroit sympathique j'y suis allé pour un anniversaire. On avaient tous le menue. C'était bon, bonne ambiance. Le dessert était un peut léger, pour le prix je m'attendais à mieux

To start off, the service is wonderful, our waitress listened to what we like & dislike (my friend doesn't eat cheese) & answered very well to the questions that we had in details, & even gave a few suggestions which we really appreciated. Moving onto the food, I ordered the Fettucini fruitti di mare (which is my favourite & go to dish in any italian restaurant), the portion is more than enough for one person. The pasta was cooked al dente, the seafood was exquisite & finally the arrabiata sauce was just the perfect amount of spiciness to let out all of the flavours of the dish. Lastly, I had the paloma cocktail which was really good. The only thing that is a little negative is that they ran out of desserts there were only two options left so we didn't fulfill our tiramisu cravings. But overall, I would definitely recommend!

Superbe endroit à côté de la place Bell à Laval ....on m'a dis que le steak New York coûtait 39$ & venait avec des frites. Surprise à la facture...il coûte 45$...un peu poche comme surprise. Le service est bien malgré que personne nous a reoffert de l'eau ou boisson sauf au dessert. J'avoue que l'endroit était packté...bref...belle expérience...

Very disappointed... I heard so many great reviews about this restaurant. The food was average (I ordered the BUCATINI CARBONARA TRUFFE NOIRE). I couldn't swap the bucatini for linguini or fettuccini. I had two drinks. They both barely had any taste, they were watery & had way too much ice (Spritz - Apricot & Sangria - Milan). I didn't even finish any of them. For dessert i had three Cheesecake - New York style. I was okay. Nothing amazing... Overall, disappointed with the food. Our waitress was nice, but nothing extraordinary. The place is beautiful, beautiful decor!! The parking SUCKS! I paid 30$ because I parked at the Place Bell. I have a Christmas diner next week with my colleagues. Hopefully I have a better experience. :)

Menu présenté d'abord en anglais. La langue officielle au Québec est le français. Le menu anglais devrait être offert après. De plus, le repas-midi est très peu élaboré & aussi cher qu'en soirée. Le tartare de saumon est petit pour le prix...sans frites, sans pain . Malgré un bon accueil de la serveuse. On ne nous a jamais offert de dessert. Décevant. Dommage. C'est un très beau restaurant.
