The designer Jacques Gaspo from Foodtastic (behind La Belle & La Boeuf, Souvlaki Bar, Carlos & Pepe’s, Le Blossom, the new Nickels and Bacaro Pizzeria) developed Gatto Matto over a two year period. A revolutionary and Avant-Garde Art Deco concept with a flower bar theme that is a fusion between Chicago and Italy. Using premium materials designed and manufactured in Montreal, the elements marry themselves wonderfully. Bright and vibrant colors give a WOW factor that will make you feel like in a modern Milan hotel with a girly touch. The creation of the open kitchen concept never seen before in the Montreal area (in collaboration with Hagop Hagopian, director of operations at Foodtastic and expert in kitchen design) allows you to see the best chefs in the region at work. Superbe endroit à côté de la place Bell à Laval ....on m'a dis que le steak New York coûtait 39$ & venait avec des frites. Surprise à la facture...il coûte 45$...un peu poche comme surprise. Très bonne cuisine & excellent service! Entrecôte veillie & la pieuvre c'était excellent. L'inconvénient est le volume élevé de la musique, qui empêche les visiteurs de s'entendre. Cela ressemble plus à un bar sportif qu'à un restaurant italien.View more

Absolutely amazing !!!! Had that huge platter lambs chops steak & shrimp was absolutely insane !! Im going having that platter all over again ! & the appetizers were excellent. Calamars , beef tatar , cacio pepe veggie dip the focacio into the cacio pepe sauce then add the tatar on top then bite !View more

Very disappointed... I heard so many great reviews about this restaurant. The food was average (I ordered the BUCATINI CARBONARA TRUFFE NOIRE). I couldn't swap the bucatini for linguini or fettuccini. I had two drinks. They both barely had any taste, they were watery & had way too much ice (Spritz - Apricot & Sangria - Milan). I didn't even finish any of them. For dessert i had three Cheesecake - New York style. I was okay. Nothing amazing... Overall, disappointed with the food. Our waitress was nice, but nothing extraordinary. The place is beautiful, beautiful decor!! The parking SUCKS! I paid 30$ because I parked at the Place Bell. I have a Christmas diner next week with my colleagues. Hopefully I have a better experience. :)View more

Nous avons déménagé en début d'été à Laval ! Je viens ici assez souvent & d'habitude j'ai un bon service & c'est 5 étoile pour moi. Mais hier, j'ai commandé la pieuvre pour la 1ere fois & je l'ai trouvé très épicé & j'en ai fait par à la serveuse qui a complètement ignoré mon inconfort à manger épicé. & à demandé si les autres trouvaient le plats épicés !! J'ai trouvé ça très impoli de sa part, car c'est moi qui a une intolérance... ma cousine aussi le trouvais epicé mais tolérable pour elle. Sa réponse à été de me dire que la sauce "Harissa" effectivement est épicé dans le menu & qu'elle peut rien faire! & elle a quitté ma table sans me proposer une autres option. J'ai donc payé pour un repas que je n'ai pas mangé. Très très déçue du service.View more

Coming in, the reservation was very smooth & quick to be seated at our table @9:15. Afterwards, we placed our order (1 pizza, 1 pasta & fries) @9:20. We got our fries within 10 minutes but we we got the rest at almost 10:20. It took almost an hour for us to get our food & the pasta was very undercooked. We understand that they might've been busy but it is half full & i doubt it takes an hour to cook both our pasta & pizza properly. The only time our waiter came to check on us, she said it's coming soon & it came 30 minutes after. Very disappointing for a special occasion. The best part: Dj was killing it. Reality: Upsetting & maybe wouldn't come back.View more

Only reason why I'm giving the service ;4 star ⭐️ & not 2 star is because Iknow what it's like to be a server we all have our off days. The food was good but not more than that. 3 star is because of the music. It's way too loud. I'd understand if it was easy listening Kenny G but club music at a restaurant. You need a university diploma to park at this place. It took forever to find their parking door, & when I entered a parking turns out I have to pay 16$ after 15 minutes (which already passed because I was lost looking everywhere). Then the hostess had to give me a speech on where I parked in return for a free parking pass, but it doesn't matter because it was the wrong door. So her « free pass » won't work anyway. So I got nothing. Doesn't matter the whole place, the night was already ruined by their horrible directions. Really, really, REALLY DISAPPOINTING.View more
