Rating a 4 because I got the steak which came with French fries, & the fries were really mediocre & were about half the plate worth of food. The other dishes my family ordered all tasted amazing, & made me wish I had ordered something else. Staff were great though, & it's a great area to be in on a Friday night.View more

What an amazing find! We came to Montreal on an annual trip. This time we went to Gaspar Brasserie Française 2 times. We came back the second time because the food & service was excellent! We were not disappointed either time. The owner is a sweetheart & our favorite waiter Dominick ensured we had an excellent experience both times. On the first dinner- i had the Foie Gras it was incredible! Also the beet salad! The beets were so fresh & perfectly cooked! My daughter (a burger lover) had the burger! It was perfect! I think i ate most of her fries! The second time i ordered the braised beef! Wow! Amazing!! We love this place! We love the incredible staff - especially Dominick! PS grew up in the Restaurant business & i'm so picky! This will forever be my go to place in my favorite Canadian city! Bravo to everyone at this fabulous restaurant!View more

Stopped by this place prior to an event. I only had 40 minutes & asked if they could accommodate my timeline. The hostess said yes & my server Michael was amazing!! This is my favorite go to place in Old Montreal to unwind & relax. Always a good experience, especially when you begin (in winter) with an apéro in front of the fireplace in the adjacent hotel lobby. The service is always friendly & excellent (merci Dominic, toujours un plaisir !) So is the food. I highly recommend.View more
