Lovely people. I think we spoke with the owner Nimish, a bhai (brother in our nomenclature). We got service with a smile & friendly chat about Gujarat & being Gujarati. The prices don't reflect the small portion sizes, though. More Gujarati decorations & atmosphere is needed to create a genuine Gujarati experience.View more

My favorite Indian restaurant, & I live in downtown Montreal where there are plenty! Nice staff, good price & just the right quantity. I have been going there for years. Never disappointed! I highly recommend!View more
Although it was a take out, but I appreciate their customer service 🙏 tasty food, good quantity, reasonable price. I recommend this place for homemade flavor. Not over spiced , not excess oil, no extra salt. Thank you for such a great quality 🙏View more

Had takeout. Not gonna lie, the food had a pretty great taste. However, boy-o-boy did it left us on our appetite & wanting more (for reference, we are 2 relatively average eaters). The portions were small, & we actually ended up adding a bit of our own leftovers to compensate for their sizes. Both our chicken & lamb meals ended up being between 2/3 & 3/4 sauce, with only a few actual pieces of meat per meal. That was quite underwhelming considering the almost ~20$ price tag for each of these items. On the plus side, the rice portion was nice.View more

This is a welcoming, unpretentious restaurant that serves good food at good prices. The "bring your own wine" feature is much appreciated. SAQ is located close by. Portions are reasonably sized. They stay open later than most restaurants, which is perfect for those that eat on more European schedules ;) The owners are authentic & understand the value of friendly service. I’ve tried many of the lamb dishes, & the flavours are always delightful. A pleasure each time..
Very pleasant experience dining at Gaj! I wouldn't say spectacular but the food is good quality & freshly prepared. The prices are very fair & the portions reasonable. There is no special ambiance you're just there for a good Indian meal ! Byob makes your night out at Gaj not overly expensive. Service is friendly. The restaurant is located in a strip mall. But there are large windows facing the parking lot.
