- J'y suis allée vers 17H30 avec des amis pour y manger. En arrivant, pas de bonjour mais'vous avez une réservation?' Non, on pensait pas qu'un dimanche à 17H30, une réservation était nécessaire. La réaction du jeune homme: aucun mot, soupire, air agacé, se retourne & on a attendu jusqu'à ce qu'on nous assigne une table dans le restaurant qui était peut être à 30% de sa capacité.
- Mon amie souhaitait un americano. La réponse de ce même jeune homme:'on peut pas'.'On peut pas!' Je demande pourquoi il me dit qu'ils ont pas le temps. Le restaurant était presque vide. Mais à la limite ok, peut-être que dire'désolée pour l'instant ce n'est pas possible' était trop demandé. Plutôt que d'être passif agressif.
- J'ai commandé un combo, la soupe était sans plus. Le plat: poulet & légumes: le poulet était trop cuit, pâteux, me collait aux dents. Les legumes manquaient de cuisson.
La banane frite juste posée sur une assiette, aucune décoration, rien. Pour un restaurant à 4.9/5 je m'attendais à des plats appétissants, biens présentés & un super bon service.
- Pendant tout le service, pas de'ça était ?' Voulez vous-vous quelque chose?' Mais plutôt un'c'est tout hein ? Vous avez tout reçu.'
En conclusion: un restaurant qui vaut un bon 3/5 mais pas un 4.9/5. Le restaurant était à 30% de sa capacité, impossible d'avoir un café. Service agressif & médiocre. Qualité du repas pas incroyable.
The wonton soup, Gaia egg roles, & the general Tao chicken were all delicious. The service was wonderful & we will definitely remember this as a favorite place in Montreal.

Nous sommes passé par hasard un midi & dégusté une soupe. Le bouillon est excellent ainsi que les ingrédients. On y retournera pour un repas complet. Service sympathique
La nourriture est excellente! Nous avons pris la soupe au boeuf saignant & des rouleaux de printemps & les 2 étaient frais & succulents.
Nous y sommes allés un midi & c'était très tranquille, vraiment agréable pour discuter.
Petit bémol au niveau du service, un des serveurs était très sympathique & serviable mais l'autre l'était à peine & faisait le service avec un Airpod dans l'oreille.. moyennement professionnel..
Cela reste une adresse avec des plats authentiques & un prix vraiment abordable!
J'ai adoré manger. Notre serveur était très aimable & toujours aux petits soins. J'y suis allée avec ma famille ; ils ont pris le combo Général Tao & mon mari & moi avons tous les deux opté pour la soupe Pho (soupe tonkinoise). C'était une expérience absolument incroyable & j'y retournerais avec plaisir ! Je recommande vivement ce restaurant aux amateurs de cuisine asiatique.

Petit arrêt lunch en se promenant sur St-Laurent. Excellente soupe Wonton, excellents rouleaux Gaia, très bon Général Tao. Nous recommandons & nous reviendrons assurément!

Restaurant avec une belle décoration & avec un service très attentionné & sympathique.
Il y a un bon choix de soupes & de plats à des prix raisonnables.
I decided to try this restaurant named Gaia based on the great google score it has. I never been so disappointed in my life. The pho soup tasted nothing at all, the meat was over over-cooked, the meatballs tasted funny…
I had to ask for service since they assigned us a place but weren't eager to offer water or anything really. The food was brought rapidly I must say, but the taste deterred me.
As dedicated Pho-lovers whose old Pho place kinda fell by the wayside, we are actively on the hunt for a new place we can haunt on the regular.
We found Gaia by Googling'best Pho in Montreal'. It popped up in the top 3 results in several searches. The reviews were great & it isn't far from the Jean Talon Market, where we already planning to go anyway, so we decided to hit two birds with one stone.
The restaurant itself is very cute. It's filled with old, gaudy furniture that is strangely charming & adds a little something different to the atmosphere. The waitstaff were incredibly friendly & prompt. We were seated & served immediately.
The menu has a large selection without being excessive. The only thing I didn't like - which I realize is petty on my part - is the fact that doesn't explain what each dish consists of. I don't eat things like cilantro, tripe, etc which many Pho restaurants use so I had to ask to make sure my order didn't contain these items.
I ordered the Soupe Tonkinoise with rare beef. It was spectacular! It came in a huge bowl & the broth was full of flavour & extremely tasty. The server gave us Sriracha & Hoisin sauces but neither were necessary. It was perfect exactly the way it was.
We loved it! Is it the best Pho we've ever had? No. But it's pretty damn good & we would definitely eat here again.
Visiting from the states & stumbled upon this place just by a a Google search. Food was amazing. One of the best Tonkineese soups I've had (same as Pho). Had several other dishes. All great. Highly recommended.
I visited Gaia after a friend recommended it, & I'm so glad I did! The place is run by wonderful people who offer delicious food at great prices, along with excellent service & a warm, respectful attitude.
We tried their **Tonkinoise soup with beef** & their **spring rolls**-both the fried chicken spring rolls & the cold shrimp rolls were amazing. Everything was fresh, flavorful, & satisfying.
I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area & craving Vietnamese food.
