About

Fous Desserts crafts an intricate selection of artisan pastries and sophisticated sweets that prioritize high-quality seasonal ingredients. The menu features meticulously layered cakes, buttery viennoiseries, and delicate tarts that balance complex flavor profiles with traditional French techniques. Patrons encounter a rotating array of seasonal fruit preparations and rich chocolate creations that highlight precision in sugar work. Each item emphasizes textural contrast, moving from crisp, flaky crusts to velvety mousses and dense ganaches. The kitchen maintains a focus on consistency and technical rigor across all pastry offerings. Review Summary

Fous Desserts is widely regarded as a premier destination in Montreal for high-quality French-Japanese fusion pastries, with many patrons praising the exceptional croissants, diverse gelato flavors, and unique seasonal creations. While the artistry and taste of items like the matcha almond croissants and specialty lattes receive frequent acclaim, some customers have expressed frustration regarding inconsistent inventory, discrepancies between advertised products and what is served, and occasional service challenges during peak periods. Despite these mixed experiences concerning order accuracy and pricing, the bakery remains a popular neighborhood fixture for its welcoming atmosphere and consistently fresh baked goods.

Service sympathique!

Not only are these the best croissants & almond croissants in a 5 mile radius, the tip options are 5, 10, & 15. Which is both reasonable & feels good. (June'24: The orange zest almond croisant experiment was not successful in my opinion, but it was still good.)

I used to really like this place but for some reason the portions are smaller. I asked for an iced matcha & I got half of the cup with ice inside already . The taste was good but I'd rather get my matcha somewhere else next time :(

Came here during La semaine Japon. Saturday, May 11th at around noon. Got 2 of the chou kinako, 2 Anpan hojicha & 1 sesame flan. Chou kinako: Interesting flavor profile. Flavor was very subtle & a little bland. Texture was good. Pastry was fresh. Overall 3/5. Anpan Hojicha: The bread was dry. The filling was dry. The flavour was bland. I was expect the Hojicha flavor to be strong. However, it was almost none existent. The color was there but the flavor was lacking. 1/5 Sesame flan: The pastry was fresh. The sesame flavor was excellent. The filling was unexpectedly delicious. 5/5 The service: Not the quickest. Not the greatest. I had to take my own receipt so I can leave & make way for other costumers to be served. (The lineup was long & so I considered doing the cashiers job by taking my receipt from cash register..) Price wise: 35$ for all 5. I'm sorry but it wasn't worth the trip for me.
