Take note I generally rate places I enjoyed eating at. I tend not to rate poor food restaurants because I don't like small shops to loss customers. It is best to privately recommend changes with the owner. That being the case, let me begin sharing my thoughts about FooFooNooz.
It was an exhausting travel day & we still needed to have dinner before crashing on a bed. We looked at a few places with reviews before entering this small but well kept noodle house. The menu was simple. A few soup noodle options, as well as dry noodle plates. (I find in small restaurants it is best to have fewer options made well than many lacking taste.). The noodles were made right in their shop.
The person at the register was helpful with the menu. the restaurant had only three tables & a long counter against the front widow.
I noticed many to go orders as we sat waiting for our meal to arrive. The meal was delicious. It hit the spot I had the beef soup noodles while my husband daughter had the dry noodle plates. The portions were good. My husband ate all his meal feeling satisfied. I ate most of my meal…a few noodles & soup left at the bottom of bowl. My daughter complemented the meal but left about a fourth of it. She generally eats small portions for all her meals.
We enjoyed the meal so much we came back two days later.
The noodle texture crowned this restaurant as the noodle expert in town.
I tried Khmer noodle, & Jakarta noodle. The taste, presentation & portion worth the value.
Ordered for the first time in this resto (Szechuan noodles with pork). The concept is great BUT the food is quite spicy & the SALT put in the food is WAY too much. A little disappointed, to be honest.
Great Taiwan inspired dishes. Home made everything. I got the Szechuan style noodle with the marinated egg. The spice was the exactly what i needed without burning my mouth. Delicious.
This place is so cute! The food is delicious everytime. My entire family loves it.
Great noodle bowls - the quality is definitely there. We ordered the Coco Curry & the Khmer noodle, & both were very tasty, rich, & full of flavor.
That said, considering it's more of a pickup-style concept, the price point feels quite high for the neighborhood. While the food quality & flavors justify part of it, there's no real service experience to match the price.
Overall, excellent food, but the value doesn't fully align with the setup.
I live nearby & it was my first time here. Amazing food , from the broth to the noodles everything was perfect aswell as the quick & efficient service. I will definitely be coming here regularly!!
I was skeptical of any noodle soup that can run between $20-30. However, I would say, it is one LOADED portion & you get your money's worth. It has just about everything, & is incredibly tasty. Small details like ingredient placement, deveined shrimp & textures makes this one of the best hidden gems in the city. Just a fantastic balance of proteins, vegetables & accroutements. The homemade egg noodles, to me, were better than LZ or ramen. Will definitely be back to try the others! Small counter with ~6 seats, but takeout kept well. Keep it up FooFoo!
