I had a frustrating experience here. I added my name to play pool & waited over 3 hours, despite there being more than 10 tables. Only two groups were called during that time, which didn't seem right. We also saw people leave shortly after arriving, but we were never called. It felt like the system wasn't fair.

Mandatory 3$ coat check which is advertised nowhere. Their excuse is that it WAS placed at the door but someone tore it down. Nowhere was this said online either, so everyone exercise your consumer rights. This is illegal & you have the right to refuse.
Their response to my question was'well this do this in bars & clubs'. No…they don't in bars…. Don treat this place like a club because it's not
20$ non-refundable deposit, then a 15$/hr for the pool table (totally fine if the pool tables didn't look like I could catch all diseases combined just by being in the same vicinity) with a 2 hour minimum, & then a 25$minimum spending at the bar PER person…non of this was advertised except for the 20$ non-refundable….
We had been to Fitz Roy another time during the day, & it was pretty good, but last night we had a really bad experience at this bar. We came after 8pm to get in line for a pool table, & the staff told us the wait would be 1-1.5 hrs. We were fine with waiting that long & decided to sit down, only after they charged us a mandatory coat check, even though other people had clearly brought their coats in. When we periodically went up to see how much longer it would be, the girls at the front were rude. We ended up waiting for over 4 hours for a table. The staff are clueless & should be more realistic & honest about wait times. When they eventually called to let us know a table was available, I was in the bathroom & did not answer my phone. When I came up to the front desk 2 minutes after they had called, they said they had given up our spot. It was absolutely miserable waiting there, the music was atrociously loud, they kept unnecessarily turning it up throughout the night, & we could barely hear one another. I would not recommend this place unless you're going during the day.
This is a great place to host business gatherings, offering games of pool or babyfoot. It boasts plenty of space & comfortable vintage sofas perfect for relaxing.
I've spent a wonderful night with the company of Mylene. I highly recommended to everybody, perfect service & perfect atmpsphere. If you are bad at pool you can try with baby foot or basketball
I came here to play pool. The music was super nice at a super good time. The suit security guards at the door were very respectful very nice would definitely recommend.

I've been in a lot of places around Montreal & this one still feels young! Waiting to play pool is awful tho... The longest time, we were there for 3 hours & we never could.
Very nice! Very, very nice! I like pool. Beer is expensive, but what can you do. It's a pool place, not a beer place. But beer is nice too. Had a great time. I love playing pool & drinking beer.
Cool vibe but requires a $20 cash deposit for renting a pool table which was not explained to us until we had already waited for a spot. They offered an ATM but I didn't bring a debit card. Very disappointing.

Great place to spend time with friends. If you are going on weekend there will be wait at least 1 hour to get pool table. Foosball is also available. Drinks are good & food is okay . Music & vibe is good place is only two minutes from metro.
Very expensive, long waiting to play pool on busy nights (which is understandable) but they lie & mislead about the estimated waiting time so you stay & spend your money. Douchy vibes, some people are into it i guess lol. Apart from that the place is big, cute & the music is ok
Love that place to play pool or babyfoot. I like the fact that you can also have a drink in a cozy space, not just a pool bar feeling kinda thing. There's always a waiting list for the pool tables tho, so just be prepared to wait & have a drink or play babyfoot in the meantime. I find the drinks a bit boring, nothing special, but eh, the gin tonics are good ! They could also add vegan options to the food menu, that'd be nice (there's absolutely none.)
Pool hall with lots of tables. Bar lounge with comfortable sofas, typical bar food choices available as well. Busy most nights, reservations are recommended, but you can also add your name to the waiting list if you just show up; we waited about an hour for a table to free up, but the atmosphere is great so the wait was pleasant. They have foosball tables as well to kill time.
