We had been to Fitz Roy another time during the day, & it was pretty good, but last night we had a really bad experience at this bar. We came after 8pm to get in line for a pool table, & the staff told us the wait would be 1-1.5 hrs. We were fine with waiting that long & decided to sit down, only after they charged us a mandatory coat check, even though other people had clearly brought their coats in. When we periodically went up to see how much longer it would be, the girls at the front were rude. We ended up waiting for over 4 hours for a table. The staff are clueless & should be more realistic & honest about wait times. When they eventually called to let us know a table was available, I was in the bathroom & did not answer my phone. When I came up to the front desk 2 minutes after they had called, they said they had given up our spot. It was absolutely miserable waiting there, the music was atrociously loud, they kept unnecessarily turning it up throughout the night, & we could barely hear one another. I would not recommend this place unless you're going during the day.

Expérience très inconfortable au Fitzroy (exploité par A5 Hospitality). Alors que j'étais assis au bar & sur le point de commander, un agent de sécurité est venu m'imposer le vestiaire, sans que cette règle ait été communiquée à l'entrée ni affichée clairement.
Je me suis conformé & me suis dirigé vers le vestiaire, mais l'agent de sécurité est revenu vers moi à plusieurs reprises, me disant que je ne le « respectais pas » & m'ordonnant de lui « donner du respect », malgré le fait que je suivais déjà la consigne. Son ton était agressif & inutilement intimidant.
Le prix du vestiaire n'a pas été expliqué, le personnel a refusé de s'identifier, & la règle semblait appliquée de façon sélective, plusieurs autres clients portant leur manteau à l'intérieur. Cette situation soulève des questions sur la communication des règles & la gestion des interventions de sécurité.
LA place de billard à Montréal & pour une première date avec une gonzesse. Je recommande à tous mes confrères. Si la date est mauvaise, il y a toujours les matchs de sport sur le gros écran. Ou sinon il y a panoplie de gonzesse dans le bar!!
Ça fait quelques fois que je reçois un service carrément désagréable. Si ce n'était qu'une fois ça ne me dérangerait pas mais là, il y a un vrai problème d'attitude avec les barmaids! Aucune gentillesse, aucun désir de bien servir, & l'alcool est quand même assez cher. La place est très mal entretenue & sent mauvais. Très déçu!
La seule raison d'y aller ce sont les tables de billard (quand on peut en avoir une).
Pas la cuisine ou le bar hors de prix, pas les videurs aussi aimable que des portes de prisons, pas la musique qui est beaucoup trop forte lorsqu'on veut juste profiter d'une partie entre amis.
Mais bon, ce sont des choses que partagent beaucoup d'endroits de ce genre à Montréal malheureusement.
PS : Ils obligent à payer comptant pour les tables mais pas pour le reste, bien évidemment ils prennent une commission sur le seul distributeur de billets situé juste à côté de l'accueil (ben tiens).
Super ambiance avec un personnel tres agréable (le barman qui prépare les cocktails est hyper sympa). On y retrouve tables de billard, baby-foot, jeux d'échecs.

Mes amis & moi avions une réservation durant une soirée de match des Canadiens en série. L'ambiance était vraiment à la fête & la fierté. Surtout que les Habs ont gagné. Malheureusement, ce n'était pas l'ambiance que nous espérions pour notre groupe assez calme, mais la bonne musique a su nous ambiancer. Grande fan de mac n cheese, je n'ai pas vraiment été impressionnée, & la portion était un peu petite. Le pop Corn gratuit était apprécié. Mais mon highlight était Gabriel le barman, qui a su jongler toutes les commandes de cocktails & bières avec brio, style & énergie contagieuse. Super à l'aise, il traitait tout le monde comme un ami. Sinon, le Fitzroy a l'air d'un endroit parfait pour un 5 à 7 après le travail. Pt pas pour une petite partie de billard peinard durant un match décisif des Canadiens ahahah

The bartender was super rude ! I ordered many drinks & left a tip at every drink .. & so the last drink I missed the tipping part & he acted very rudely towards me & gave me a passive agressive attitude & ruined my mood! I always come to Fitzroy & enjoy my time with friends but this is not a way to act with client sorry. It's not the place, it's the bartender.
Notre barman était super MAIS je dois être honnête....mon homme lui demande PK il n'a pas son sucre alentour comme le 1er drink qu'il a reçu ?! Il lui de dire qu'il n'a pas le temps à cause que sa roule bcp 😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫ma turn OFF J'AVAIS JAMAIS ENTENDU CELLE LA ......
Love that place to play pool or babyfoot. I like the fact that you can also have a drink in a cozy space, not just a pool bar feeling kinda thing. There's always a waiting list for the pool tables tho, so just be prepared to wait & have a drink or play babyfoot in the meantime. I find the drinks a bit boring, nothing special, but eh, the gin tonics are good ! They could also add vegan options to the food menu, that'd be nice (there's absolutely none.)
Pool hall with lots of tables. Bar lounge with comfortable sofas, typical bar food choices available as well. Busy most nights, reservations are recommended, but you can also add your name to the waiting list if you just show up; we waited about an hour for a table to free up, but the atmosphere is great so the wait was pleasant. They have foosball tables as well to kill time.
Super bar, nous avons organiser un événement pour notre université, le bar nous a réservé une partie cetais très cool. On a aussi pu offrir des tickets boissons à nos étudiants, la musique & très cool & les cocktails très bien fait
