Fiorellino comes across in reviews as a buzzy downtown Italian spot where the pizza is the star and the vibe is warm, lively, and often loud. Guests rave about the wood-fired crust, light dough, and flavorful pastas and gnocchi, with numerous dishes praised for freshness and presentation; the antipasti, salads, and desserts also get favorable mentions. The drinks program is highlighted for well-crafted cocktails and a thoughtful wine list, though some note a limited selection by the glass and a bustle around bar service. Service is generally described as attentive and friendly, with several servers and bartenders going above and beyond, while other visits report long waits for food or a crowded, noisy dining room that makes conversation difficult. Reservations are advised, especially on weekends, and the atmosphere is considered ideal for a lively date night or group outing rather than a quiet meal. Overall, Fiorellino is seen as a delicious, high-energy Italian option in the city, offering excellent pizza and strong hospitality with some variability in pace and acoustics.
Visiting friends in town who took me here, & the atmosphere was really fun with a live DJ (Friday night) & good vibes. I cannot recommend getting the carpaccio, for 22$ you get the thinnest slices of pear & barely anything for your money. The tartare was good, & the pizzas were nice as well. Nothing fancy.
Where I have the most issues is with the price of drinks... Just get a cocktail from the menu! I ordered two gin & tonics with a shot of St-Germain liquor extra in each, which ran me to 25$ a drink. 50$ for two gin & tonics, no warnings from the waitstaff either. They weren't anything special, nor top shelf liquor. I had quite the shock when the bill came, & honestly felt deflated leaving the restaurant. The vibes are good, but they cannot justify this in my opinion.
A little on the pricey side for what you get in terms of pasta but it is a nice atmosphere, great service & the pizzas look amazing, from wood burning stove
La Pizza più buona qui a Montreal e forse anche di Toronto. Personale gentile ed educato; una pecca musica troppo alta, forse perché era un venerdì sera.
Fiorellino is a quintessential Montréal spot! It's gorgeous, perfectly located downtown, & always buzzing with energy. I've been coming here since 2016, & it remains a staple for a great pizza in Montréal!
The Vibe & Service:
I almost always visited on Friday or Saturday evenings, & you should know: it is packed & very loud. They did have a DJ playing music (vibes 10/10), which creates a great atmosphere, but the tables are very close to each other, so expect an intimate (& noisy) experience!
Logistics can be a bit of a shuffle. This time we had a 7:00 PM reservation for six people, but still spent 10 minutes huddled in the cold, cramped entryway before being moved to the bar. We weren't seated at our actual table until 20-30 minutes past our reservation time. Service over the years has been consistently'average' but functional, but definitely felt the pressure of the weekend rush.
The Food & Drinks:
The food is the saving grace. The cocktails are fantastic & well-crafted. The pizza is the absolute star as the dough is incredibly light & airy with that perfect wood-fired char. I've tried the gnocchi & the polpete (meatballs) in the past; they are delicious, though definitely on the pricier side for the portions.
Verdict:
Go for the incredible pizza & the energy. It's a great spot if you're looking for a lively weekend scene, but just don't expect a quiet conversation or a perfectly timed table!
Came here for Valentine's Day dinner & had horrible experience. We saw a mice under our table twice & we were moved to another table. We let the staff know the waiters were nice & they moved us to another tabel. However, we lost our appetite because we felt disgusted. The manager came in & he handle the situation terribly. Joking about it instead of acknowledging the fact that he needs to take care of this issue as it is a restaurant & cleanliness of the restaurant should be thier top priority I don't know how they passed health & safety. Totally disappointed & did not appreciate how the manager handles it . He still wanted us to pay for a full course meal even tho we only had a tiny mini pizza & salad. We did not mind paying for it however the fact that he did not come to the table when we asked to speak with him really disappointed us. He told the server he was busy very unprofessional. I will inform Health safety so they can run thier inquiries.

The food was really good, the pasta was fresh & so was the pizza dough. We tried the spaghetti, the gnocchi, the agnolotti, the sausage & goat cheese pizza & the roasted vegetables one. We waited 45-60mins for the food which was a bit long. But I can say it was worth the wait as the agnolotti was my favorite, full of flavor. Although they made a mistake in our order & all the food didn't arrive at the same time, they managed to repair their mistake in little time. Would come back !
If you look for a delicious pizza, this is the place!
Now they just have to work on training the employees on attentive service & their head out of the TV & phone screens & creating a warm ambiance (with isolating the chairs legs making noise on the concrete floor & tone down the house/techno music & maybe change it for Italian contemporary like Dean Martin, Andrea Bocelli, etc..).

I got a pepperoni pizza here yesterday & it was delicious! I forgot to get a picture because I was too busy enjoying it 😁
EDIT: I went back today & ordered another pepperoni pizza & a gnocchi bolognese & actually remembered to snap a pic. Both were really good, & the gnocchi were super pillow-y! 😁
We love this place. Had a great set menu for our group, & the pizzas are some of the best in town. The wine selection is also really top-tier, small Italian houses like Le Berne (who hosted our wine tasting dinner) are featured & really well priced. Highlight of the evening was having our soirée crashed by the Prime Minister of Canada 🤣 see photos…
Delicious authentic Italian dishes across the board. I own an Italian restaurant & I am Italian & these dishes are top of the top. Pizza is incredible as well.
Highly recommend for lunch & dinner.
Most fairly priced delicious spot in Montreal & very warm service from everybody in the restaurant from start to finish.
Overall, Fiorellino offers excellent Italian cuisine in Montréal: excellent pizzas & pastas, a lively atmosphere, stylish surroundings, & good value given the quality. Great pick for a date night or social dinner-less ideal if you want quiet or ultra?fast service.
