Fiorellino comes across in reviews as a buzzy downtown Italian spot where the pizza is the star and the vibe is warm, lively, and often loud. Guests rave about the wood-fired crust, light dough, and flavorful pastas and gnocchi, with numerous dishes praised for freshness and presentation; the antipasti, salads, and desserts also get favorable mentions. The drinks program is highlighted for well-crafted cocktails and a thoughtful wine list, though some note a limited selection by the glass and a bustle around bar service. Service is generally described as attentive and friendly, with several servers and bartenders going above and beyond, while other visits report long waits for food or a crowded, noisy dining room that makes conversation difficult. Reservations are advised, especially on weekends, and the atmosphere is considered ideal for a lively date night or group outing rather than a quiet meal. Overall, Fiorellino is seen as a delicious, high-energy Italian option in the city, offering excellent pizza and strong hospitality with some variability in pace and acoustics.
Visiting friends in town who took me here, & the atmosphere was really fun with a live DJ (Friday night) & good vibes. I cannot recommend getting the carpaccio, for 22$ you get the thinnest slices of pear & barely anything for your money. The tartare was good, & the pizzas were nice as well. Nothing fancy.
Where I have the most issues is with the price of drinks... Just get a cocktail from the menu! I ordered two gin & tonics with a shot of St-Germain liquor extra in each, which ran me to 25$ a drink. 50$ for two gin & tonics, no warnings from the waitstaff either. They weren't anything special, nor top shelf liquor. I had quite the shock when the bill came, & honestly felt deflated leaving the restaurant. The vibes are good, but they cannot justify this in my opinion.
The food & drinks are great, & the service is attentive. However when the restaurant is full/busy it is unbearably loud. You have to yell at each other to have any type of conversation.

Had an amazing experience at Fiorellino! The atmosphere was vibrant & welcoming from the moment we walked in.
Patrick, our bartender, was absolutely incredible - knowledgeable, friendly, & clearly passionate about what he does. Every drink he made was perfectly balanced & beautifully presented. You can tell he takes pride in his craft.
The charcuterie board was delicious - fresh, high-quality ingredients, great variety, & beautifully arranged. It paired perfectly with the cocktails.
If you're heading to Fiorellino, definitely grab a seat at the bar & ask for Patrick. We'll 100% be back!
Fiorellino is a quintessential Montréal spot! It's gorgeous, perfectly located downtown, & always buzzing with energy. I've been coming here since 2016, & it remains a staple for a great pizza in Montréal!
The Vibe & Service:
I almost always visited on Friday or Saturday evenings, & you should know: it is packed & very loud. They did have a DJ playing music (vibes 10/10), which creates a great atmosphere, but the tables are very close to each other, so expect an intimate (& noisy) experience!
Logistics can be a bit of a shuffle. This time we had a 7:00 PM reservation for six people, but still spent 10 minutes huddled in the cold, cramped entryway before being moved to the bar. We weren't seated at our actual table until 20-30 minutes past our reservation time. Service over the years has been consistently'average' but functional, but definitely felt the pressure of the weekend rush.
The Food & Drinks:
The food is the saving grace. The cocktails are fantastic & well-crafted. The pizza is the absolute star as the dough is incredibly light & airy with that perfect wood-fired char. I've tried the gnocchi & the polpete (meatballs) in the past; they are delicious, though definitely on the pricier side for the portions.
Verdict:
Go for the incredible pizza & the energy. It's a great spot if you're looking for a lively weekend scene, but just don't expect a quiet conversation or a perfectly timed table!
Patrick was an excellent bartender who made the experience even better. He was friendly, attentive, & clearly knew what he was doing. Every drink was perfectly made & served promptly. Patrick created a welcoming, fun atmosphere at the bar. I would absolutely come back & recommend him to anyone.
Amazing time celebrating my wife's birthday! PATRICK our server was hands down one of montreals finest waiters. A newly graduated sommelier & creative genius behind the bar. Patrick was patient & very helpful in guiding us in the right direction when it came to both drinks & food. We let this fine gentleman pick our wine pairing & he hit it out of the park. The food was great but the service was even better. My inlaws who are fresh back from Italy said it was the closest they got to tasting the motherland in Montreal. We will be back as long as Patrick is serving us !
Amazing drinks & staff! The staff was so nice & attentive. We cannot say enough good things about the head bartender who served us (the one who curates the drink menu). He had SO much knowledge & great suggestions on drinks & food & made our experience!!! We all had multiple of the signature cocktails & each one was fantastic. All the food was great, & the DJ added such a unique touch to the experience. The food came quick, & was all delicious. Will definitely be coming again!
A paradise for the patient elite-if you crave burnt pizza, don't mind waiting over an hour without so much as a drink, & are happy to pay $8 for a few charred slices of plain focaccia, this is your place:) The wait was so impressively long that I actually managed to finish an entire game on my phone. I could've taken my kid back to the hotel for a shower & a nap, & still made it back in time to keep waiting for the pizza he liked. By the time it finally arrived, he was so hungry he didn't even have the energy to throw a tantrum.

The food is excellent, the pizzas are amazing & the drinks are just as good. Everything we ordered was well-prepared & flavourful.
That said, the atmosphere was affected by the manager's behaviour. The manager loudly reprimanded staff in front of customers & in a very rude way (No matter what the mistake was, no one should be talked that way).
After landing in Montreal from Australia we were looking for a quick meal…. We hit the jackpot! The food was delicious, amazing pizza, fantastic gnocchi & the service was outstanding!
We sat at the bar & chatted with Patrick who was so great to talk to. His knowledge of the drinks was second to none.
We went back the second night & will be going back for a third, if not fourth before we leave!!
Came to Fiorellino for dinner with friends. We had an early (6pm) dinner reservation to beat the rush. It got very busy & plaid while we were there. The drinks were fantastic & the food was even better. Everything is hand made in house daily from scratch. The vodka rigatoni was creamy without being overpowering. The gnocchi was equally delicious. If happy return again, next time looking to try their pizza.
Best place in Montreal! Food was delicious & great service. We were a large group, & people ordered different drinks & they arrived quickly. There was even a great DJ on Saturday. It was our engagement party & the manager Phil took great care of us. Thanks a lot to the whole team.
Came in yesterday at 6:45pm, I had a reservation at 7pm (The reservation was not in my name) & they made me wait in a random spot between tables even though my table was wide open. When my friends came in at around 6:55pm, they made us wait until 7:15 to actually guide us to our table. Service was ok, nothing mind blowing.
Food was good, I had the tagliatelle bolognese. Again, nothing mind blowing & quite expensive. I had one of their house drinks which was a total of less than 4oz for 19$, so VERY overpriced. The squash & sage raviolis are good, but the raviolis themselves are quite bland, you only taste the sauce.
At 8:40, our server came by & told us we had to leave before 9pm because they had another reservation, but when we called, they said we would have the table until 9:30pm. We told our server who went to get his manager to confirm. The manager is one of the most condescending person I've ever met. Me & my friends are in our early 20s, & he treated us like we were 14 y/o. He said that the confirmation email my friend received was fake, that we never had the table for 2.5 hours, only 2 hours. When I told him that we got sat down 15min after the beginning of our reservation, he said that was because my friends were late (not the case). I told him that no, they came in early & he proceeded to tell me'No, that's not true you're lying'. The only person who came in'late' was another friend of mine, who could only come at 8pm, but I'd told the hostess about that as soon as I came in that we did not need to wait for her & that she would only order drinks.
A seemingly 40y/o man telling a 21y/o she's lying because of a mistake your staff made is unbelievable & unacceptable. I absolutely do not blame the staff, but I cannot believe the pure unprofessionalism of this manager. Nevertheless, after this whole manager incident, our waited apologized profusely & kept telling us that he understood our displeasure & that it was completely a mistake on their part.
Ps: I almost did not leave this review after seeing how the owner responds to bad reviews. You claim to be a restaurant that offers a luxury experience, yet this is how you treat clients that had a bad experience? By basically insulting them? Don't worry, I'm sure I can find Italian restaurants with staff that won't call me a liar for stating facts.
The food was really nice, the wood oven pizza was amazing. The place was quaint but overly crowded. The service, however, took forever. Our server was quick to deliver drinks, etc, after we ordered them, but trying to get their attention to order anything took forever.
