Enjoyed the whole experience. A bit disappointed that they didn't have the octopus carpaccio. The terrine was good & flavourful. A good substitute I suppose for the carpaccio. Sardines were pretty good. Neat that they're deboned. Would've liked a bit more of the tomato sauce. The seafood casserole was tasty & not heavy. Mussels I guess weren't in season cuz they were mini - the shells were big but the meat was no bigger than a thumbnail. Wines were good. The sommelier was helpful too.
Truly a top experience! Hands down the best execution on grilled sea bass I've ever had. Great touch with perfectly cooked veggies & humous on the side. If i had that every day & had to, I could give up steak, & I love steak! (I need to up my fish cooking game for sure). The sourdough bread to start was tasty. The octopus & squid appetizers were so simple but so tasty & again perfectly prepared. Great wine list, knowledgeable sommelier that made it fun. Service in general is excellent. Never ran out of water, & wine kept flowing. Next time I'll hope to sit watching the kitchen. On my list of top restaurants in the world.

We flew to Mtl from Toronto for my birthday in January. Made a reso & told them we're flying in to spend my bday dinner at Café Ferreira & it was fabulous! They wished me a happy birthday & were so sweet. We started with the grilled sardines (so yummy, we always have them) & a glass of champagne! Them moved on to the fish filet of the day (never dissapoints it was amazing) with the perfect Portuguese wine recommended by our wait person. & she surprised us with a selection of miniature version of their most popular desserts, on the house & more birthday wishes. This is THE best seafood restaurant in Mtl...I highly recommend it. The atmosphere is chic yet not intimidating at all, the food is fabulous & the service is exceptional! In a city where good food is the norm, Café Ferreira's food & service is hors pairs!
Recently, I had the opportunity to dine at Ferreira Cafe, & my overall experience was truly remarkable, largely due to the exceptional service provided by our waiter, Marco. Marco's service was flawless throughout our meal. He greeted us with a warm smile, making us instantly feel at ease. His extensive knowledge of the menu was truly impressive, & he suggested dishes that were not only delicious but also harmoniously paired with each other. One aspect that stood out was Marco's meticulous attention to detail. From recommending a wine pairing that perfectly complemented our meal to ensuring our table was set up to perfection, Marco consistently exceeded expectations. His patience was particularly commendable. Amidst the bustling atmosphere, he never rushed us or made us feel hurried to order or finish our meal. His professionalism & courtesy were evident in every interaction. In summary, Marco's exceptional service & attention to detail make him a standout waiter. I wholeheartedly recommend Ferreira Cafe & would be delighted to have Marco serve us again in the future. 5 Stars!
L'un de nos meilleurs repas à Montréal, vraiment délicieux, avec une mention spéciale pour le riz aux fruits de mer ainsi que la bouillabaisse. Service très professionnel. Un seul bémol : les clientes au bar, savamment éloignées les unes des autres, semblaient être là pour racoler, tout comme les clients « grisonnants » du bar étaient là de toute évidence pour en profiter. Un peu dérangeant! J'ai retiré les photos, je me suis effectivement trompé, & celle de la bouillabaisse est floue...

Nous avons fait une commande de riz aux fruits de mer & ce plat est exceptionnel! Le goût est incroyable & la quantité tellement généreuse! Excellent rapport qualité prix! J'ai bien hâte de reprendre mes lunchs d'affaires en février & de retrouver la belle ambiance de mon restaurant préféré à Montréal!
Quelle magnifique soirée nous avons passée au Ferreira Café! Nous avons mangé le meilleur riz aux fruits de mer que j'ai jamais eu & dans une ambiance très chaleureuse & class en même temps! De l'accueil au restaurant en passant par le service & par l'ambiance tout était exceptionnel!! Nous y retournerons c'est certain!

I plan many group dinners in Montreal & this is my go to - in either a private dining room or in the main restaurant. Everyone always raves about the food & service! Ferreira Cafe makes my life much easier as I don't ever worry about complaints!!
Ferreira est devenu notre resto de prédilection pour un date night! La nourriture, le service, l'ambiance, tout est toujours parfait, on adore. Maintenant fiancés, on songe à la salle privée pour notre réception de mariage, à voir!
Au milieu des années 90, le propriétaire avait pour objectif d'ouvrir le meilleur restaurant portugais à Montréal. Il a atteint son objectif mais il a surtout réussi à le demeurer. Les ingrédients sont extrements frais & de grande qualité. Il faut y essayer la morue noire, l'incontournable du menu. Le service est à la hauteur de la nourriture qu'on y sert. Le midi, Ferreira est l'endroit où vous retrouverez une bonne partie de la communauté d'affaires montréalaise. Réservez si vous souhaitez avoir une place.
Foods were an amazing, & service was top notch. Side note- for dessert, the tasting dessert set will fit a family of 4 with no issues & you dont need to order any other dessert.

Bonjour, je vais vous raconter l'expérience qu'a vécu ma conjointe dans ce soit disant grand restaurant. C'était lors d'un souper de noël pour son travail. Au tout début de la soirée, elle est allé au toilette & elle est tombé dans l'escalier car c'était trop mouillé & il n'y avait aucun panneau le signalant. Ça aurait pu être beaucoup plus grave mais par chance rien de cassé mais d'énormes ecchymoses sur le coude & le bas du dos & une douleur dans l'épaule. Elle l'a signalé à un membre du personnel & il a essuyé l'eau & mis le panneau jaune. Elle a demandé de la glace & il lui a apporté mais ça c'est arrêter là. Jusqu'à aujourd'hui elle a encore de la douleur à son coude. Tout ça pour dire qu'il n'y eu aucun suivi de leur part ou quoique se soit. Ma conjointe a téléphoné à la propriétaire qui avait été mise au courant de l'incident par les employés car non présente lors de la soirée. Je me demande bien si ça avait été une personnalité connue elle aurait eu le même traitement. Tout ça pour dire que pour un grand restaurant c'est assez décevant.
Great place for upscale Portuguese food! Place was packed so make a reservation. The Duck & mushroom risotto is so so good & a big portion! A bit on the pricey side but worth it.
