Great West Indian & Haitian plates. The curried Goat is one of the better ones in the city. They stew it low & slow, not like a lot of other spots that leave the meat being tough. Great griot & Jerk chicken as well.
Editing review in 2026 from two years ago. I find Faybees has been slipping a touch lately, food still tastes decent but the portion size of goat, griot is unacceptable. Big increase in price as well especially since the move to Sherbrooke. Spots like Pimentos load of great curry goat for less. Not sure I would go back at that price/portion size. Hope to hear that it will change.
Food was good, the curry goat was great, rice & peas excellent ...Would definitely visit again...& good music too, they need more customers
10/10! #1 the freshness 😘 #2 the quality. 😘😘 #3 the portions/size😘😘😘 4# the hours they stay open till/convenient. 5#Affortable I ordered a curry chicken poutine & a Chicken roti which was juicy & not dry- Good size/weight/ taste! The poutine is made with REAL potatoes & plenty of gravy which is where they get points for quality/freshness. The person (Mr)who gave me my food had a positive energy & positive attitude which is RARE when dealing with a west indain restaurant.
I wish them all the success & prosperity they are aiming for! 🙏 🤲 I WILL be going back weekly till I try almost everything. If your reading my review GO TRY IT & a BONUS feature they are open on Sundays...

In simple terms just boom the goat curry the jerk chicken & oxtail❤100%
Ordered takeout. Was pretty disappointed with the oxtail. It was hard, not cooked tender & the portion was considerably small for the price (not enough for one person). The curry goat was good but same issue with the portion. Haitian patty was alright but again low on meat. They are stingy on the meats unfortunately.
Had the oxtail & chicken curry roti. Both was 🔥. It hit that late night craving I was havin'.
Tried the griot another day & it was nice. Fresh. The sauce for the rice is so good.
I ordered takeout from this place. I know that restaurants live & die by these reviews so I don't say this lightly. Do not eat here. The chicken curry made me *literally* call 911 because I thought I had been poisoned. I can not describe the experience of eating the green, greasy sauce with unidentifiable spices, incredible & unexpected heat & an odd chemical taste I couldn't get out of my mouth for hours after. Some of the sides (rice, plantain) were relatively decent but the rest was not fit for human consumption. I have contacted the city health department. Avoid this place.
Today, I had a true Caribbean food experience at this hidden gem. I ordered the curry goat, & my friend chose the oxtail; both came with a side salad, rice, two plantains, a small Jamaican bread, a very spicy sauce (watch out-it's really hot!), & a drink. They have some variety of Jamaican drinks.
The goat meat was tender & moist, & it was my first time trying oxtail, which was also delicious. We sat outside since the weather was beautiful today.
The man who served us was polite & kind, taking time to explain the menu & dishes thoroughly.
I highly recommend this place.
My favorite place used to be Curry House in cote -des-neiges buy unfortunately with new ownership the food there became inedible. I was sad because no other place near me is good. until i found Faybee's. Best jerk chicken. Best oxtail. salad always fresh. plantain crsipy with fluffy soft deliciousness inside. they provide small containers with sauce & juices. i have no words. AMAZING.
Great service & overall experience, I took the curry goat but I'd definitely want to taste other stuff from the menu! So I would come back 🙂↕️
