Just wanted a couple of drinks.
Took a long time for the server to come. We ordered a beer & a Pina colada & 2 waters. Water never came, asked again, never came.
Below average service.
We went to Fat Mardis last weekend - one of the busiest weekends of the summer & had a wonderful experience!
There was a wait for a patio table (as with all the restaurants) so we had a drink at the bar. A smiling friendly French bartender from Marseille greeted us & made our evening unique! I can't thank him enough for creating special family moments with our adult children.
Once we sat down the waitress was polite, courteous & funny.
She let us know the wait may be longer as it was extremely busy. When the food arrived it was excellent - we all ordered different things off the menu from the Steak Frites, Fish n Chips, & the Fat Mardis bowls.
We had a lovely night that is one of our core memories of Mont Tremblant.
Merci beaucoup Fat Mardis!
The food was okay & didn't take too long to come out, but unfortunately, the quality of the service was extremely disappointing. Our waiter barely attended to our table throughout our time there. He never offered to refill our drinks & didn't once check in to ask how our food was or if we needed anything.
The experience became even more frustrating when it was time to pay. He took payment from three people at our table, then walked away for at least five minutes before returning to process the final payment. I found this very unprofessional & unnecessarily inconvenient.
What bothered me most happened at the end. After I left a tip that I felt appropriately reflected the quality of service I received, the waiter told me,'In Quebec, the minimum you should tip is 15%.' I found this comment inappropriate & unprofessional. A tip is meant to reflect the customer's experience & the quality of service provided, & I don't believe a customer should be confronted or pressured over the amount they choose to leave.
Overall, the food was fine, but the poor service & the comment about my tip left a very negative impression of the experience.
Do yourself a favour & stay away from this place. I waited for my order almost an hour although it wasn't busy. My friend received the wrong drink & was gaslighted by the server that it was the correct order without removing it from the bill. The food wasn't good enough & didn't feel fresh. I don't think they changed the oil for the fries for a long time
food was terrible all around
my fish & chips came out with raw batter
the fish tacos were dull & had no flavour
chilli fries were the only good dish
the rice bowl with salmon had 2 small cubes of salmon for such a harsh price
so many better places by the hill to go to rather than here drinks were okay but not for the price
best part is that you're next to the hill & the square so that's fun
Fun little apres ski spot. Chill. Sports bar kind of vibe. I'm GF Celiac & they could do a smash burger with a GF bun. No sides except salad. I wanted their chopped for a side but they only did that as a full size. Went for green salad. Super plain not much there but fine. The burger was really delicious. 😋 Did a daiquiri for a drink & that was yummy. Not super frozen to the bottom but the taste was great. Fiancé did a double burger & fries & said it was yummy too.
We have been coming here for years & it never disappoints! On our most recent trip to Mont Tremblant we stopped by two times for dinner. Great food, drinks, & service! I believe the server we had last night was Howard & he was so warm & welcoming. Will definitely be coming back again next year when we visit.
If you're looking for the best atmosphere in Mont-Tremblant, look no further than Fat Mardi's! We spent New Year's Eve here & the energy was absolutely electric.
A massive shoutout to Daphne, who truly went above & beyond. Even though she was technically off the clock, she jumped behind the bar to help out & make sure everyone was taken care of. Her level of dedication & her positive attitude while providing excellent service really made our night special.
Fat Mardi's is incredibly lucky to have someone like Daphne on their team-she's a total rockstar! Great drinks, great vibes, & even better people. We will definitely be back!
Went during the summer time. Really solid spot with a variety of options. Gumbo is flavorful, burgers are nice & juicy, nachos were solid. Drinks are tasty as well.
So we were staying at a beautiful AirBnB nearby in a quaint village on a beautiful river, & by bride & i decided that we should go to the fancy Mount Tremblant. We aren't skiers & we try not to go were its too touristy. This is tourist mountain, we shopped & found cool items & then realized there were 3 times the price, but I digress. We decided to have a nibble on a nice patio (there are a million) & settled on the reasonably priced (compared to others around) price list.
Nachos & a beer & a water. My wife wasn't sure what she wanted at first & said she would continue to look at the menu for a drink, but the too cool for school waitress never asked her or came to our table again, we likely woulda had another round. The Nachos were ok, nothing incredible. Lucky the front row seat to some world class people watching took our minds off being ignored in an empty restaurant.
