Great pet?friendly restaurant! My dog was welcomed with a fresh bowl of water, the food was tasty, & the terrace & décor were perfect. The staff was super kind, & the prices were good.
Super resto pet?friendly ! Mon chien a été accueilli avec un bol d'eau, la nourriture était très bonne, & la terrasse ainsi que le décor étaient parfaits. Le personnel était vraiment gentil & les prix raisonnables.
A fuir absolument !!
Just wanted a couple of drinks.
Took a long time for the server to come. We ordered a beer & a Pina colada & 2 waters. Water never came, asked again, never came.
Below average service.
Matthew provided excellent & attentive service. Nachos were crispy, hot & tasty & beers were cold. Water offered & served. Great afternoon at fat Mardis!
We went to Fat Mardis last weekend - one of the busiest weekends of the summer & had a wonderful experience!
There was a wait for a patio table (as with all the restaurants) so we had a drink at the bar. A smiling friendly French bartender from Marseille greeted us & made our evening unique! I can't thank him enough for creating special family moments with our adult children.
Once we sat down the waitress was polite, courteous & funny.
She let us know the wait may be longer as it was extremely busy. When the food arrived it was excellent - we all ordered different things off the menu from the Steak Frites, Fish n Chips, & the Fat Mardis bowls.
We had a lovely night that is one of our core memories of Mont Tremblant.
Merci beaucoup Fat Mardis!
The food was okay & didn't take too long to come out, but unfortunately, the quality of the service was extremely disappointing. Our waiter barely attended to our table throughout our time there. He never offered to refill our drinks & didn't once check in to ask how our food was or if we needed anything.
The experience became even more frustrating when it was time to pay. He took payment from three people at our table, then walked away for at least five minutes before returning to process the final payment. I found this very unprofessional & unnecessarily inconvenient.
What bothered me most happened at the end. After I left a tip that I felt appropriately reflected the quality of service I received, the waiter told me,'In Quebec, the minimum you should tip is 15%.' I found this comment inappropriate & unprofessional. A tip is meant to reflect the customer's experience & the quality of service provided, & I don't believe a customer should be confronted or pressured over the amount they choose to leave.
Overall, the food was fine, but the poor service & the comment about my tip left a very negative impression of the experience.
The food wasn't bad, but it was very average & nothing particularly memorable. The atmosphere was enjoyable, with music playing throughout the restaurant, which created a nice vibe.
Unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. Our server only came to our table to take our order & bring out the food. Other than that, he never checked in on us & barely interacted with us, giving the impression that he didn't want to be there. We constantly had to ask for basic things like water & napkins.
I also ordered extra bacon on my macaroni, but the server never mentioned that it would cost an additional $6, & the charge wasn't clearly indicated on the menu.
The worst part of the experience came when it was time to pay. We chose to leave a custom tip instead of the suggested 15% because we felt it better reflected the quality of the service. As we were paying, the server stood there watching the payment machine & then complained that we were'supposed' to tip 15%. That comment was unprofessional & made an already poor dining experience end on an even worse note.
Our server barely checked on us, didn't refill our waters even though he walked by several times, & never asked how the food was. We left a tip that we felt was appropriate for the service we received, but he then told us,'I don't know if you guys know, but in Quebec we usually leave 15% tip.' We understand tipping is customary, but we believe the tip should reflect the quality of service, & we found his comment inappropriate. He also stared at the paying machine while we were paying.
