Review Summary

Falafel Yoni is widely praised for its falafel pita sandwiches in Montreal's Mile End, which are fresh and satisfyingly crisp on the outside and soft inside, loaded with flavorful sauces and plenty of veggies; portions are generous, with many noting that the fries and other sides such as zaatar fries hit the spot, and the menu also features hummus, sabich and schnitzel for variety, with the place described as vegetarian and vegan friendly and reasonably priced for the quality; the atmosphere is warm, casual, and efficient, and service is typically quick with friendly staff that contribute to a welcoming vibe; occasional critiques mention that a few pitas arrive cold or falafels can be a touch dry, that cleanliness or value may vary, and a small number of dishes may not meet every expectation; all in all, Falafel Yoni is seen as a standout option in Montreal for a casual, satisfying falafel experience and a reliable go to for fans of Israeli street food.

Was not expecting some of the best Pita Bread & Falafel in Montreal! After cycling many kilometers by the canal, it was a welcome respite to grab some of the tastiest food in Atwater Market. Highly recommended! Got the fries & the falafel sandwich I asked for extra spicy & it was perfect.

Since it's trying to replicate Israeli falafel I'll be judging purely based on that.

Falafel itself was barely warm(should be hot), pita was fridge cold (should be freshly baked) & cut open almost all around, so everything was falling out of it. Schug not spicy at all, to the point where my wife who can't eat any spicy foods - was drinking it.
& there was of course no free tehini no add as you go about eating as you have in Israel.

Overall probably on a level of low level falafel in israel.

LeFalafel Plus+ does better homage to proper Israeli falafel.

Do not sleep on the zataar fries - they are next level. If you're worried about the spice level, get the spicy sauce on the side.

Absolutely delicious sandwiches! Generous amount of toppings in the pita, & the falafel was fantastic. Their spicy sauce is amazing & adds a great kick.

Got the Fallafel in pitta with spicy hummus. Really nice fallafel & not too greasy or burned. The hummus was really nice & the balance of filling was perfect. This would be a 5 star meal except for the fact the dill was overpowering slightly & the pitta was undercooked.

First time trying this hidden gem & I was highly impressed. I ate the spicy Falafel & I wasn't dissapointed. The portions were generous & the Falafel was freshly made & tasty. Staff is friendly & overall I enjoyed my experience. I'm glad I discovered this restaurant, looking forward to try the Sabich on my next visit.

Hands down the BEST Falafel I have had till date! Highly recommended. We had their demi pita with falafel. They also ask you if you want it spicy-say yes if you can handle it. Their spicy mint sauce is 💯 We also had the zatar fries (which honestly can be skipped) They have a long wait if you are there on a busy day/touristy weekend.

One of my favourite places for a quick bite in the neighbourhood. The half sandwich is plenty for me & a delicious, affordable option. Falafel Yoni can get busy, so I usually order ahead to avoid the wait. Make sure you get their spicy zhug sauce!
