If you read my other reviews, you'll see that I am a HUGE CARNIVORE, however, this vegetarian place can satisfy even the biggest meat eater out there. Food was fantastic, bakery products were delicious, & Shani the server, is pretty much the reason I would ever go back. Tell her what you want & how many people you want to feed, & she'll tell you what you need, not what you want, & IN A GOOD WAY. Her suggestions & pleasantry is a model for all other restaurants out there! It's more of a grab & go type of place with limited high-stool seating. Parking is not the best but worth the trip nonetheless. Food was fresh, service was great, & bakery goods for dessert were yummy. Vegetarian only, falafels, sharwama, shish taouk, pitas, salads, cookies, cakes, you can't go wrong……🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Pita falafel is fresh & delicious. Way better than what you'll find in other restaurants. The lady that runs the place is so friendly & caring, she'll make you feel at home. I will go back as often as I can.
Still the best. Go spicy for the full experience.
You feel right at home with service that's full of love & the food is always fresh & plentiful
You cannot find better quality in fresh fast food or customer service. The blonde is so inviting & kind.
Love this place!! Been coming to get fresh homemade food from this place since it opened. Never disappoints.
St-Jacques Falafel is truly a gem! The highlight of the visit was the owner-hostess herself - such a warm, genuine person whose energy makes you instantly feel at home.
The service was attentive & welcoming, & I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the vegetarian options were. Honestly, I never thought veg dishes could be this flavorful & satisfying - each bite was fresh, vibrant, & full of taste.
If you're looking for amazing food paired with heartfelt hospitality, St-Jacques Falafel is the place. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!
Welcoming staff, delicious & filling choices. Veggies are fresh, sauces are amazing, & you don't miss meat. Fast service. Parking can be an issue, but the food is worth the effort.
I am editing my review from 4 years back. Amazing Vegan food, must must try!!! Very fresh & authentic taste. We tried the falafel pita wrap, shitake plate, baklawa, pistachio sweet. I bet anything you try here is amazing. I specifically was looking to visit this place from Toronto & have recommended this to 5 others who love it. Must visit if you are visiting Montreal & looking for fresh food. Requesting the owner to open a branch in Toronto!
What a wonderful experience!
I visited this falafel store today with my elderly mother, & I was truly touched by the kindness & service. The lady working there was incredibly sweet - she helped my mom sit comfortably & even brought us a table & chairs inside so we could enjoy our meal. The food was absolutely delicious - fresh, flavorful, & made with love.
It's not just a great place to eat, it's a place where you feel cared for. I'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!❤?
The best falafel vegetarian restaurant! The food was fresh, flavorful, & made with care. The owner was super friendly & welcoming. It's always a pleasure to support a place where the people genuinely care about their customers :)
10.99$ for 5 pita bread on DoorDash?! 11$ for a small container of hummus?
Hummus was great, pita bread, while it's the only actual pita in Montreal, not the freshest & charging over 2$ for each small pita bread should be corrected. Even 6$ for 5 pita was pricy.
Hummus & falafel itself are hands down the easily the best in Montreal .
Making the price humane will move my rating to 4 stars. Making sure the pita is fresh & it has the potential of a 5 stars.
Edit: price now is 17$ on DoorDash for hummus & pita which is still pricy but rating did go up to 4.
We stumbled across Falafel St. Jacques looking for spots on our way back to Old Montreal from the airport. It was our favorite meal so far in 3 days of this trip! Easily one of the best meals I've had recently in general.
My family eats a lot of falafel & shawarma in California, & this was one of the best I've had. For 12$ USD, we each got a pita sandwich & choice of two sides & a drink! I had the Jerusalem trio pita with tabbouleh & mushrooms - so flavorful. My dad got the same with baba ghanoush & eggplant, which were divine. Probably could have taken home leftovers, but it was all too good not to finish right away.
The staff were incredibly friendly & welcoming. We could have stayed & talked with them for hours. We even got recommendations for our next stop in Quebec City. The team said they cook for other like they cook at their homes, & you can taste the love.
Everything was so fresh & flavorful. I WISH we had a Falafel St. Jacques in our hometown - I'd go every day!
Stopped by here for the first time today after wanting to try it for quite some time - & it will certainly not be my last visit. The owner & the woman at the cash are both incredibly warm & pleasant. The food is out of this world - amazing flavours & portions. The falafel was so fresh & delicious & the (vegetarian!!) shish taouk is absolutely incredible. I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu here. Definitely a must-try.
Tried their falafel sandwich; good portions & so fresh. They've many other vegan options like the Geneal tao made of shiitake mushrooms. Friendly staff, delicious food!
My favorite place in town for falafel & shawarma. Food is always fresh, tasty, & comes in large portions. Great & friendly service. Vegan & vegetarian options.
I moved to Ile Perrot & missed this place soo much. I had to go into the city with my 10 year old son & we decided to stop in for lunch. WOW! I forgot how amazing this place is from the warm greeting when you walk in to the delicious food, so fresh & tasty. The desserts are unbelievable. Thank God I moved because I would be eating there everyday. Definitely worth stopping in for lunch whenever you're in the area. 10 stars!!
Best food if you're looking for authentic Israeli cuisine! The owners are always welcoming-in fact, one is Arab & the other is Jewish, a true symbol of coexistence. Check out this place-it's my favorite!
Just to be clear, the food is always fresh, whether you come early in the morning, at lunch, or right before closing. I can't forget about Shani-the nicest person! She works at the front desk, always positive, & she lights up the restaurant.
The best place-definitely worth a visit if you want to try real Israeli food! 😉
Some of the best falafel I have had. I recommend getting something with salad because they had a lot of options, & you could choose two with the sandwich. The tabouli was very fresh, & the quinoa salad was nice. For meat the Jerusalem mix was good too, & the fries were crispy. I recommend the tahini & spicy sauce, which wasnt very spicy anyways. The staff were kind & helpful, love the guy who did some fancy spins as he wrapped up our sandwiches.
Great little bakery with amazing Falafel! Also get the house made hummus with fresh bread you will not be disappointed
