Cute place for a great bagel! We tried the Onion & All Dressed bagels, you could really taste the herbs on the all dressed bagel! Price is reasonable as well, about $1.40 per bagel. Would absolutely get again.
Tried their plane bagel & all dressed & they were both amazing! I'm used to eating NY bagels & bagels here tasted very different & I loved them. Definitely worth trying if you are a tourist. Bring cash!
Fairmount converted me to the Montreal bagel. Warm from the oven, friendly to first timers & a slightly sweet taste that keeps me eating them plain to enjoy that flavor.
Being from New York metro area bagels are not even close! They do not accept credit cards but will take your american dollar's as an even exchange. Seems a bit corrupt! Wait till you get home.
Best bagels around, no doubt. Recently, I ordered a dozen & only received 11... didn't realize until later on. I've always had good experiences here, so hoping it was a one time thing.
Alright no bagel expert here so I will give them a 5 stars based on them being the first bagel shop (1919) in Montreal. Came to this very smallish original store on Fairmount Ave, the most popular sesame bagel is 1.25CAD. WARM, smaller compared to US bagels, slight sweetness. Not bad. Then I went on to the other Montreal biggie St Viateur which personally I think it's better. BTW my hotel also serves Fairmount (6 in a plastic bag) which needed to be toasted to taste good.
