Reviews for Ever Ready Restaurant
I ordered from DoorDash .. first of let me start off by saying I'm a big fan of egusi .. the sauce alone here is good now the issue is the meat is often bone or tripe the beef is taken from another stew .. it's not cooked with the egusi it's literally taken from wtv left over soup they have .. let it be beef & stew they just plop it onto the plate.. I don't know if they think people are stupid & have never eaten egusi before but this is a disappointment. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THE RESTAURANT HAS DONE THIS. If this was someone's first time eating Nigerian food as a Nigerian myself I'd be embarrassed
We tired this wonderful place for the 1st time last night. The owner is so friendly, warm & inviting. The restaurant is also clean & cozy. We had jollof rice with Asun & pepper soup. The food was 10/10. The jollof was amazing & Asun goat was tasty & perfectly spiced.
I have to try this place again when I visit the city!
me & my friends went & we loved it,Recommend got the pounded yam & egousi so amazing & Jallof rice
Never tried Nigerian food so I decided to try. Got pounded yam & egusi, was pretty good! The meat in the egusi (I think it was goat) is delicious, will definitely try the fried goat next time I try
I love this place after coming multiple times, wasn't familiar with African food before but I'm really glad I tried it
Prices appear to be a bit expensive but the portions are huge, treat any order as a meal for 2 & you'll have more than enough at a good price
The jollof rice here is delicious & the portion sizes are generous, which I truly appreciate. However, I believe there's room for improvement in customer service & order fulfillment. Although it's advertised that they're available on Saturdays from 1 pm, I've called several times & no one picks up, & Uber Eats often shows them as closed. Unfortunately, my orders have been canceled five times, which can be quite frustrating while it shows open on the google profile.
I even placed a call confirming if they would be opened & they said yes.
I share this feedback with kindness & understanding, knowing how challenging it can be to run a business. But in Canada, consistency & structure are key to earning people's trust & becoming their go-to choice. If I come across a Nigerian restaurant that offers reliable service on Uber Eats in the West Island, I'd be inclined to switch without thinking twice.I hope this constructive feedback helps the restaurant thrive!
