Quelle belle soirée au Escondite Verdun !
Nous y sommes allés vendredi soir , & l'ambiance était super. J'avais déjà visité deux autres Escondite, mais c'était la première fois qu'un mariachi était présent & belle animation ! Il a réussi à nous faire chanter, danser & rire pour une partie de notre soiree.
Nous étions un groupe de six & avons choisi de prendre « l'expérience » : un excellent choix. Chaque plat était savoureux, bien présenté, & bien portionné pour partager. Le service était chaleureux.

We recently went to the Wellington (Verdun) location as a group to celebrate a birthday.
After we sat down on this warm summer evening & were given 1 water bottle for the table, our water was never refilled over the course of 2 1/2 hours.!
The place is loud. Very Loud. The music is loud & the people shouting at each other in order to converse over the loud music are even louder.
My appetizer Mango Salad was THE BEST I have ever eaten.
My main course of Tacos, never arrived by an hour & 45 minutes after having ordered it. I left, hungry, disappointed, & vowing to never come back.View more

Stumbled upon this groovy taqueria while strolling down Wellington Street in Verdun. The gyoza nacho was AMAZING. & the corn bread & Miss Paloma were yummy too. Good vegetarian options.View more

J'adore aller à ce restaurant. La première fois, nous sommes allés à l'Escondite du vieux-Montréal & nous avons pris le menu dégustation. Nous avons été impressionnés par la qualité, la quantité & la variété de la nourriture. Nous avons eu un coup de coeur pour les entrées. Il faut dire que rendus aux tacos nous n'avions plus très faim. Nous sommes retournés à l'Escondite de Verdun pour prendre, cette fois-ci que des entrées. Nous en avons essayé de nouvelles & réellement tout était bon. Je recommande fortement cet endroit.View more

Verdun is the best place to visit in the summer & this beautiful place is one of the upsides on Wellington street. The atmosphere is great, also the service & the food. I love that their menu is not just traditional regular Mexican food, but they add originality & uniqueness to it, like matcha cream? Or some Japanese style on another options. You can see that is a beautiful & unique place.View more

The food was delicious with a diverse menu that caters to all tastes. Special mention goes to José, our server, for his attentive & friendly service. Second visit: what an incredible experience. Jose & both his parents greeted us so warmly, treating us like family. The food was absolutely incredible, everything tasting authentic & mouth-watering. The tasters menu allowed us to try so many different options & the drinks were delicious. The decor is out of this world. Wall mural by Stikki_peaches showing "The Last Supper" Nacho Libre style. First visit: Lena was an amazing waitress! We had such a great experience eating at the Verdun location. Lena was attentionate & kind. Was able to make amazing drinks. The food was absolutely out of this world. The Atun tostada was reordered at the end of the night because it was fantastic. All the tacos (chicken, baja, shrimp) were perfection. Would recommend 10/10View more

First time there, GF brought me for my bday, had the experience & it was perfect, i highly recommend it if you have a hard time deciding what to get, it comes with 5 courses, my favorites were the corn muffing, they were soft & more like a cake, just amazing, the wings were just crunchy sticky saucy goodness, & the round of soft shelled tacos (2 fried chicken, 2 steak & 2 shrimp) were amazing, seafood is not for me so i let my gf have the shrimp ones, the service was phenomenal, super pleasant & just added to the experience, this is Verdun's new hidden gem & i highly recommend checking it out, would give 10 stars it it were possible.View more

Mon copain, moi & deux autres amies sommes allés au Escondite Verdun récemment. Nous avons pu savourer de magnifiques plats & cocktails. Notre serveur, José nous a même partagé ses connaissances du mescal. L'expérience fut incroyable! Seul hic, à la fin du repas, alors que nous avions commandé un dernier verre, le gérant/propriétaire (il s'est présenté de façon un peu prétentieuse disant que nous allions nous rappeler de son nom car il était affiché au mur...) est venu nous demander comment nous allions diviser nos factures. Nous étions surpris étant donné que nous venions de faire notre commande & qu'on nous a même pas annoncé le "last call"...nous avions quand même une moyenne de plus de 150$ de facture par personne! Dommage de cette interaction avec ce "Mike" qui nous a fait partir du restaurant un peu amer...View more

First time trying the new spot an Wellington in Verdun. Love the decor & ambiance.
The food was delicious but almost $93 for 12 small Tacos, 1 tiny cornbread & a coke is absolutely ridiculous!
No chips & salsa offered & you have to pay to try their hot sauces.View more

The food is absolutely delicious! I knew the brand & have tried their tacos many times but the new opening in Verdun doesn't betray their signature. The service is great & the decor is always fabulous! I recommend the Barbacoa & the E-steak tacos ! Add some tabasco for realness! Love it & will come back for more !View more

I had the pleasure of having Escondite Verdun take care of my special event. The manager José Manuel is absolutely brilliant! He knew how much my event was important for me, & all the little details! He took the time of listening & gave me some ideas too as how & what would be best for my event . On the event day , he & the staff were just absolutely amazing! Taking care of our needs they did a 💯 service & quality as well.
The food & the drinks were amazing & the ambiance was great!
If you want to celebrate something here is the place to do it & you will love it !
