Le Escondite Cerveceria de Barrio est un restaurant mexicain situé au centre-ville de Montréal, à quelques pas du Quartier des Spectacles. On y sert de savoureuses spécialités mexicaines et des cocktails Tequila maison.
Escondite ressort comme une adresse mexicaine très appréciée pour son ambiance chaleureuse, son décor et son service attentif, avec des tacos variés (agneau, birria, al Pastor, baja fish) et de bons cocktails; les portions et les prix varient selon les plats, certains clients trouvant les portions petites ou les prix élevés pour la quantité, mais la plupart louent la fraîcheur et les saveurs ainsi que le menu découverte et le service multilingue. Des temporisations existent parfois: service lent, heure de fermeture plus tôt que prévu ou notes négatives sur quelques plats; toutefois l expérience globale est très positive et donne envie de revenir.
Food was good very cute decoration but if you're hungry find somewhere else the portions are small here
I find also the prices are kinda high for the quantity they give you.
We went to the Escondite for the first time last monday. The food was pretty good, we got the tacos al pastor & baja tacos, amazing but a little pricey.
The best part about this place has to be the service, our server was Charlie. Great with recommendations, & has a great knowledge of both food & drinks. We had an amazing time with him. 100% will be going back
A hidden gem in Montreal! From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the small, beautifully decorated space & the wonderful atmosphere. The music, a nostalgic mix of boleros, brought back cherished memories of my grandmother. The service, led by our attentive host & restaurant manager Jona, was impeccable & every detail was carefully considered. We ordered the tasting menu, & the food was simply spectacular-each bite was a treat! The margarita was the best I've had in years, delicately prepared & perfectly balanced. Our experience there culminated in a warm conversation with Jona, whose passion for the place was infectious. Honestly, if you're in Montreal & love Mexican fusion food, you have to go here. It's more than a meal; it's a memory. We'll definitely be back!
We had the pork, lamb, shrimp & fried chicken tacos. We love the lamb best with little spice. We also had the Gyazo Nacho (they are Gyazo but with Guacamole on it) & pork ribs. All the seasonings are perfect!! The person serving us was top notch, it was our first time there, the person recommended the portion which was very helpful! They even try to replicate a drink they don't have on the menu!
This place was by our hotel off Philips square & we loved the menu & bright flags outside all the gray buildings. Fun decor, immediate availability, friendly, trilingual staff, & high-quality fusion food. Great experience, especially when my husband left early with our child whose patience was waning after a long day, although the server did everything right to give him & us a great experience. People who cater to adults but are understanding of children always get my business! Try it out- fun atmosphere, yummy food with fun twists, & nice people!

We had a great time at Escondite! The food is excellent & service was top notch. Our server Shanna really took care of us & Darling was amazing. Definitely going back!
Not just the best Mexican food spot in downtown, but the bestest, friendliest staff & service ever. Amelie was our server & she was amazing at introducing the menu & making us feel like pals :)
We were there last night & Marine greeted us & took care of us from beginning to end. Everything went smoothly. She was very kind & i would definitely come back. Service was impeccable
