I have mixed feelings about this place. On one hand, the food was absolutely delicious, some of the best tacos I've ever had, to be honest. The Korean-style & al pastor tacos were incredible & full of flavor, easily the highlight of my visit. The ambiance is cozy & inviting, with warm lighting that sets a relaxed mood. Plus, the staff are super friendly & make you feel welcome. On the other hand, the portions are a real letdown. As a Latino, I have to say that Mexican food is meant to be generous, & for the price you pay here, the serving size is disappointing. I get that it's their business model, but for the price, I'd much rather pay more for a proper portion. Overall, while the taste & quality are undeniably great, the value for money just isn't there. I'd recommend it as a one time experience or for a special occasion, but if you're looking for a satisfying meal that feels worth the price, there are better options out there.
Très bon restaurant. Nous avons adoré l'expérience Escondite avec les plats à partager! Salade de mangues délicieuse! & Tacos au porc succulants! Les côtes levées BBQ, un vrai régale. Seul point négatif, les pichets d'alcool sont beaucoup trop chers. 56$ pour un pichet je trouve ça exagéré… par contre notre serveuse était très gentille & accueillante, l'ambiance était amusante avec de la bonne musique. Malgré les prix, je recommande.

Excellent Mexican fusion restaurant! Their tacos are delicious - make sure to try the Baja, Pollos Hermanos & Al Pastor ones. The mango salad & the el general chapo dishes are equally good!
Très bon restaurant mexicain de style tapas. Parfait pour les plats à partager à deux ou en groupe. Pour deux personnes, nous avons commandé: le ceviche de crevettes & les gioza en entrée, puis les tacos au chou-fleur, les New el paso, aux crevettes tempura & au poulet frit ainsi qu'un margarita à la coriandre. Tout était délicieux. C'était un peu dispendieux avec une facture de 110$ + pourboire. Le ceviche de crevettes ressemble davantage à des crevettes cocktail revisitées, mais très bon tout de même. Les tacos aux crevettes (moyennement) & poulet (légèrement) étaient épicés. Le cocktail aussi. D'ailleurs, la sélection de cocktail était moyenne avec uniquement des margaritas dont environ la moitié contenaient du piment. Le service était excellent & très rapide. Le restaurant est très mignon aussi, belle ambiance.
We ordered the Baja & the Pollos Hermanos & they were both so spicy it was not enjoyable. Menu mentioned nothing about it being spicy. Also the water that was provided was warm. Portions of 2 tacos are small for 12$. Service was fast & friendly at least!
Great place for lunch. Not too busy or expensive & fun. Good classic margarita. The nachos are excellent. We had to order a second round. Mango salad, really good. We all had shrimp tacos. The order comes as two. I can see someone needing four tacos. Excellent service from Salma. I would want her to serve me again! Worth the visit.
Solo business traveller coming for a weeknight dinner. Well positioned across from the Hilton hotel. Tacos & cocktails are unique & have great presentation. Staff was fast & friendly. Would recommend for a casual meal alone or with a group.
Definitely a spot to visit with friends to grab some drinks & tacos. The ambiance was nice, the service was great. I thought the appetizers were ok. We ordered alot of variety of tacos to try them all. They were all ok. The best ones would be the shrimp & chicken tacos, felt like there was more flavour to it.

Very disappointing experience; we ordered the Escondite experience. Regardless of whether the price is worth it or not (which personally I think it s overpriced for what we got), the food taste was less then average. We got a cucumber salad (not impressed at all with the taste) a guacamole (maybe the only minidish that we could finish), 4 small tacos (pork & beef very dry) & ribs which was average. Seeing the stars given by other people who actually ate there; I am very surprised & disappointed. The staff did not even distinguish which platters were the shared ones & we had to guess. My personal opinion: i do not recommend this Mexican place neither for the food nor the ambiance (we had to cut our dinner short because of the 1hr30min service which you might want to consider if you are reuniting with friends & don't want to be rushed!)
Dès qu'on passe les portes de ce restaurant nous sommes transportés au Mexique, le décor est magnifique! Pour le dîner nous avons opté pour le menu dégustation & nous avons été complètement conquis! Je vous le recommande, sans hésiter. Vraiment bonne bouffe, coup de coeur pour la salade de mangue, & les tacos de morue
This is more like a drink place , I thought was a restaurant. The food is a little pricey but is good in general. I personally didn't like the general Chapo, the sweet sauce it was not good, is like they pour the whole jam on the chicken & it was hard to enjoy. We also had tacos which were very good but also small, almost like snack size & they cost $11 for 2 so yeah. I feel like we didn't have a lot of things (just 2 drinks & 2 plates) & the bill went up to $80 The place is generally good , don't get me wrong, the atmosphere is nice for a bar, but is pricey for the portion they serve The staff were friendly & attentive all the time.
