Another impromptu date night, & a great success. We decided to go out pretty late in the evening, so made the reservation on the Google page for 8:30p.m.
Upon arrival, seated quickly, & this time we asked to be further away from the entrance, which was perfect.
Food was delicious as always, chapifleur was amazing 👏🏻 🤩
& our server was such a delight 😊.

We chose Escondite for our date as we have come here before & we really enjoyed the food.
The service was a little slow & our waitress seemed uninterested, but to be fair the restaurant was full. So no problem with lack of attention.
I found it weird that the tables were super sticky, & it kinda grossed me out, so i avoided putting my hands or arms on it, or my utensils. Maybe something to look into?
The staff seemed to have some issues going on, & while I didn't hear what specifically, but it was clear that they were not happy with each other. The hostess seemed stressed the entire time we were there. 🤷🏻?♀?
Being on a romantic date, but seated right in front of the main entrance, & in the middle of the full restaurant already kind of put a dent in my mood, but to watch stressed people around me was just unpleasant.
The food was excellent as usual, with the exception of the Jamaican ceviche, it just doesnt work together in my opinion. The rest was excellent as always!
Overall, we still enjoyed our evening & would be back in a heartbeat...... maybe just not on a busy friday night though! 😂
This place is nothing short of spectacular ! The food is amazing , the staff is attentive & welcoming , our waitress Salma was a gem , & if you are lucky enough to meet the owner guaranteed your experience will be top notch ! Will return to dine on their terraces this summer !

A+ for the food & drinks - fresh ingredients, well balanced flavors & textures ( every bite was, omg i can't eat anymore, but I need to try it) - the Fuego Margarita was awesome ( i had to have 2)
A+ cute place to just enjoy your friends & or family, with very good food

Nous étions un groupe assez nombreux un vendredi soir, & malgré l'achalandage, Nada a assuré un service fluide & bien organisé. Elle est restée attentive à nos besoins tout au long de la soirée. Excellent accueil de Salma, une vraie mexicaine dynamique & attentive. Elle a beaucoup d'entregent. Pour notre anniversaire de mariage, on a eu droit un dessert offert par votre maison. L'entrée avec la guacamole, c'est vraiment exquis & c'est frais. Bonne portion. Un endroit parfait pour être entre les amis ou les groupes, mais pour un souper en amoureux, c'est plus ou moins. Je vois cela un style de repas adapté pour une jeune clientèle. Les tables sont trop collées, c'est tannant. Beau décor. Endroit bruyant toutefois. Merci.
Awesome restaurant. The food tastes great, drinks are on point, the bartenders are amazing, very friendly & welcoming & the rest of the staff is very attentive & always ready to serve.
We had a great experience at Escondite Laval! We were a group of 20 people & everyone was happy with the service & quality of food. The staff & manager were very attentive & accommodating! The group menu was also reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend if you're looking to celebrate a birthday or any occasion!

This is more like a drink place , I thought was a restaurant. The food is a little pricey but is good in general. I personally didn't like the general Chapo, the sweet sauce it was not good, is like they pour the whole jam on the chicken & it was hard to enjoy. We also had tacos which were very good but also small, almost like snack size & they cost $11 for 2 so yeah. I feel like we didn't have a lot of things (just 2 drinks & 2 plates) & the bill went up to $80 The place is generally good , don't get me wrong, the atmosphere is nice for a bar, but is pricey for the portion they serve The staff were friendly & attentive all the time.
We had a craving for Mexican food & Escondite didn't disappoint! This was a busy spot at 6:30 on a Friday night. We highly recommend making a reservation, we didn't, as a result we were seated at the bar, which since it was just two of us worked out great anyway. The bar staff were attentive & helpful describing the menu. For a starter I ordered the Margarita Media Noche, which came in a glass rimmed with cinnamon & salt perfectly complementing the citrusy cocktail. For an appetizer we chose the Atun Tostados & then for the main course we shared a platter containing a selection of Tinga Tostados, Al Pastor Tacos, Baja 2.0 Tacos & E' Steak Koreano & Nopal Tacos. Everyone of them were excellent!
