Escondite delivers a vibrant fusion of Mexican-inspired street food characterized by bold flavors and modern culinary techniques. The menu centers on an extensive selection of artisanal tacos featuring creative toppings, marinated proteins, and fresh house-made salsas. Beyond the taco offerings, the kitchen prepares various Latin American dishes including zesty salads, corn-based appetizers, and flavorful shareable plates designed for social interaction. The physical environment features a distinctive aesthetic defined by neon accents, eclectic wall art, and an upbeat atmosphere that maintains a consistent energy. A robust beverage program complements the food, specializing in agave-based spirits and signature craft cocktails that highlight traditional botanical infusions. This establishment emphasizes a dynamic approach to casual dining, prioritizing intense seasonings and high-quality ingredients sourced to provide a contemporary interpretation of regional staples within an approachable setting.
Escondite generally receives positive feedback for its vibrant, romantic atmosphere and flavorful Mexican-inspired cuisine, with many diners frequently highlighting the quality of the tacos, margaritas, and sharing menus. While many patrons praise the attentive and personalized service provided by specific staff members, the overall experience can be inconsistent due to occasional reports of slow service, concerns regarding portion sizes relative to price, and isolated incidents of unprofessional conduct or management challenges. Most visitors appreciate the creative decor and fun vibe, though some note that the restaurant can become quite loud or crowded during peak times, leading to mixed sentiments about the value and consistency of the dining experience.
There is such a thing as "too much fusion" ... Not every dish & drink on the menu needs to be fusion cooking. Also, 10$ for a draft beer or 15 for a mojito is insulting. The food was okayish, but for the price, I was expecting much, much better. The server was adorable, & the back terrasse could use some music to cover the car noises...
Love this cute resto!!!!! amazing food & drinks! LOUISA & SALMA ANS PAT were amazing, they treated us so well! & the food is so delicious 🤤🤤🤤🤤 I highly recommend!!
The food was ok, the only reason I gave this 4 stars was because of this drink I had & can't get out of my head! I believe it was called smash or crash but it had jalapenos in it...A MUST TRY!!

Definitely a spot to visit with friends to grab some drinks & tacos. The ambiance was nice, the service was great. I thought the appetizers were ok. We ordered alot of variety of tacos to try them all. They were all ok. The best ones would be the shrimp & chicken tacos, felt like there was more flavour to it.
Très similaire à l'authenticité de leur premier restaurant. Très bon service à la clientèle. Nourriture très bonne de façon générale... sans oublier que c'est du mexicain alors prévoir le spicy edge.. Drink très bien,
Let's start from pros Cool ambiance, cool place & decor. The service, nothing crazy, but on point. The food, overpriced & very poor in quantity, not other then an expensive tapas. Missing flavors, the drink kind overpriced too but, was actually good. I took the mezcal mule !
The food was very good, but way too expensive for very small portions. We spent $90 (2 people, 1 drink each), & we left still hungry. That isn't normal. Only once we were sitting at the table were we told that it's a "tapas theme" restaurant. Their website doesn't mention this. If it was, we would not have made reservations there. That feels sneaky on the restaurant's part. The ambiance & service were great. I would give this place a higher rating if it weren't for the unreasonably expensive prices for such small portions. I'd recommend this place for drinks & a snack, but not for an actual meal.
Awesome restaurant. The food tastes great, drinks are on point, the bartenders are amazing, very friendly & welcoming & the rest of the staff is very attentive & always ready to serve.
This is more like a drink place , I thought was a restaurant. The food is a little pricey but is good in general. I personally didn't like the general Chapo, the sweet sauce it was not good, is like they pour the whole jam on the chicken & it was hard to enjoy. We also had tacos which were very good but also small, almost like snack size & they cost $11 for 2 so yeah. I feel like we didn't have a lot of things (just 2 drinks & 2 plates) & the bill went up to $80 The place is generally good , don't get me wrong, the atmosphere is nice for a bar, but is pricey for the portion they serve The staff were friendly & attentive all the time.
The waitress provided excellent service, demonstrating impressive knowledge of the menu, while the food delighted our taste buds with its deliciousness & the use of fresh ingredients. Despite being fully booked on a bustling Saturday night, the restaurant still managed to offer a commendable drink selection, making our dining experience thoroughly enjoyable - Ricky Sirroi
