Il y a déjà plusieurs années que le sympathique Elio et son épouse Nina originaire de la province d'Avellino près de Naples ont ouvert les portes du Restaurant Elio Pizzeria. Nous devons dire que ce restaurant n'est pas simplement une pizzeria, Elio et sa famille offrent de simples plats typiquement maison à la Napolitaine pour leur clientèle nord-américaine. Pendant toutes ces années, le Restaurant Elio a servi de nombreux et fidèles clients. Quand le restaurant à ouvert ses portes la première fois en 1964, il y avait une capacité de servir seulement 18 personnes. Aujourd'hui, Elio et famille sont fiers de pouvoir accommoder plus de 700 personnes incluant leurs deux salles de réceptions (Buffet Anna Maria). Avec un sourire, Elio et famille vous souhaitent une belle expérience de cuisine maison, une expérience que vous n'oublierez jamais.
Elio Pizzeria est connue pour une cuisine italienne authentique avec des pizzas et des pâtes que de nombreux critiques jugent les meilleures de Montréal, avec des sauces fraîches, une croûte bien cuite et des portions généreuses à bon prix. L'ambiance chaleureuse et familiale et le service attentif font que les clients se sentent chez eux, et l'accueil est souvent salué. L'expérience va au delà du repas sur place, avec des options pour emporter des pâtes et sauces fraîches, une terrasse et des espaces pour les rassemblements, ce qui témoigne de son statut d'institution locale. I've been going to Elio's for over 40 years. Elio's pizza used to be one of my favourites in Montreal. But the last couple of visits have been disappointing. Service remains very friendly, & the atmosphere is, well, unchanged. But prices have gone up while the quality of the food has gone down. The Caesar salad was very ordinary, & the pizza was now one of the worst I've had in years. I know Elio is no longer running the restaurant… & it shows. Too bad. That was my last vist.
Haven't been back to Elio's in over ten years-this is the exact spot where I took my wife when we first started dating. Coming back now with a full family, I was looking to see if the quality held up or if it had just become another neighborhood relic.
The verdict? It's a blueprint for consistency. 📍
While most spots in the city focus on'vibe' & lighting for social media, Elio's is still focused on the plate. The food tastes just as great as it did a decade ago.
The Standouts:
Fresh Pasta: The texture is perfect. The Fettuccine Mamma & Cavatelli are clearly made with the kind of legacy care you don't find in newer'hype' spots.
The 14' Vegetariana: Fresh toppings, no grease, & a crust that holds up.
Service: Quick & efficient, even with a family in tow.
Vibe: It's'cool' because it's authentic, not because it's trying to be trendy.
As a Level 8 Local Guide, I'm always scouting for spots that value quality over marketing. Elio's is a massive'YES' for both nostalgia & actual taste. If you want the realest Italian experience in the area without the pretension, this is it.
This restaurant means so much to me! My dad used to take me here at least once a week as a kid & I loved it. He's passed now, but I still come here alone in memory of him. 20 years later, the service & food is just as comforting & warm as I remember. I love their pastas & the desserts. Thank you, Elio!
Ca fait plus de 40 ans que ma famille ayons à ce restaurant ! Leur sauce bolognese… WOW ! J'achète toujours 4 pots de 1L après notre souper pour manger du Elio à la maison ! (Car ce n'est pas très près de chez moi!) toujours des beaux souvenirs de famille
This is without a doubt the best most satisfying pizza in montreal! I highly recommend them. Between the food & the fresh pasta, sauce & tomato pizza that you can just grab in their fridge. Today I picked up 4XL pizzas..for 14ppl at the office. 14 out 14 loved the pizzas so much. Thank you Frank & the staff at Elios. Always a hit!
We love going to Elio's! We just had a 65th family bday reunion & the service & food was delicious. The waiters all have a great attitude. An istituito!!!!!!♥?🇮🇹

Service is non existent, they come, take your order & they disappear. Everything else from food to drinks is brought over by other people. The food was mediocre, I've had better frozen pizza. This isn't the elio's from when I was younger. If you're looking for something nostalgic this ain't it.
First time there but my waiter Phil made me feel like a regular. He suggested the prosuto pizza with buratta that is not on the menu. Calamari & eggplant as entrés & the rest is a party in your mouth. Water gents buzzing around filling your glass. As we left at avout 18h30 on a Friday, regulars were gathered at the door to be seated. If you want & like classic Italian food made & served with passion/care, you cannot go wrong with Elio's. They do thin crust or thicker crust as you wish.
It has been a very long time that I haven't had a bad restaurant experience… But Elio broke the charm :/
Food was ok but not worth it.
We have waited for an hour -no exageration- for our main course. Explanations from the server when we reminded him of… …us waiting; our food came out after the food of the group.
I could understand that type of situation but with a head's up & with a real conflict of orders ; that group had arrived way after us, so we were not happy with the explanations!

My husband & I were guests at the restaurant last night for a birthday party.
We were greeted by Denzel & he took care of the entire event. He was extremely friendly & polite & very attentive. He made the evening most enjoyable. The food was excellent & the service was fantastic. Kudos to Denzel & Elios!!
Nous y étions pour un dîner de famille & nous avons passé un délicieux moment, nous avons prix 5 pizzas & elles étaient toutes délicieuse & la terrasse est un plus & excellent service de Elio

I took my girlfriend to Elio Pizzeria for Valentine's Day, & it was truly a hidden gem in Little Italy. The service was amazing from start to finish - friendly, attentive, & professional. At the end of our meal, the owner personally came to talk with us & even offered us a free drink & dessert, which made the evening extra special.
The food was absolutely delicious, the prices were very reasonable, & the atmosphere was warm & welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Next time, I'll be bringing my mother here to celebrate her birthda
Ce restaurant vaut vraiment le détour ! La pizza est tout simplement excellente, le service impeccable & le personnel d'un dévouement remarquable. Même la sauce pour pâtes à emporter est savoureuse & pleine de goût. Alors, venez chez Elio pizzeria , vous ne serez pas déçus !

Dining at Elio's was a pleasure from start to finish. The staff were warm & attentive, making us feel welcome right away. The food was outstanding-fresh, flavorful, & clearly made with care. The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed, making for an enjoyable evening overall. Elio's delivers a memorable experience & is well worth a visit if you appreciate great food & genuine hospitality.
Elio Pizzeria is a total gem in Montreal! It's a tiny spot with big flavor. The pizza is so good-crispy, cheesy, & packed with toppings. Super chill vibe, & the staff are super friendly. If you're craving pizza, this place is a must!

Elio Pizzeria went above & beyond for our group of 28! Despite our size, we were comfortably accommodated, & the service was outstanding from start to finish. The kids raved about how delicious the pizza was-but for me, the real highlight was the care taken to accommodate my gluten & dairy allergies.
The chef personally came out to discuss my dietary needs & prepared a special gluten- & dairy-free pasta just for me. As someone with food allergies, moments like this are rare & incredibly appreciated. I felt safe, seen, & truly taken care of.
Highly recommend Elio Pizzeria for its incredible food, warm hospitality, & genuine commitment to meeting guests' needs. A true gem!
I have been going to Elios for as long as I can remember because my papa has been going for even longer & it's thee only restaurant he'll go to in Montreal.
To this day, & after going many, MANY times - the food is as delicious as it ever was. The newest addition to our family (my mister), is now joining our yearly visit (& sometimes we go a few times throughout the year) & it's emphasized our tradition of going there with family, especially when celebrating a special occasion!!

Visiting from Tennessee for a concert weekend (Marillion Weekend 2025), went to Diplomate Music, & was recommended Elio's. We were greeted & seated by Elio himself. Service was awesome, food was awesome, & Elio came over & talked with us for 15 minutes or so. & don't miss the Dolce De Leche for dessert! What an incredibly nice guy, excellent food, excellent service! Highest recommendation! Thanks, Elio!
