This is such a classic Montreal Italian joint, been around forever! Prices are great & there are musicians walking around playing violin; really a blast from the past! Vibes were more Italian than Nona's house. I don't think the pasta is homemade & I'm pretty sure the pizza doesnt use that classic Italian dough, but I'm not 100% sure so don't take my word for it & go try it out. Service was decent, food came quick, it didn't blow me away but the price makes up for it. $40 gets you dinner, dessert, coffee so no complaints. Hits that Italian craving just right!
This is without a doubt the best most satisfying pizza in montreal! I highly recommend them. Between the food & the fresh pasta, sauce & tomato pizza that you can just grab in their fridge. Today I picked up 4XL pizzas..for 14ppl at the office. 14 out 14 loved the pizzas so much. Thank you Frank & the staff at Elios. Always a hit!

Nice neighbourhood trattoria that's been around for a very long time. It's not fancy but it's excactly the kind of place that you need as a local neighbourhood trattoria. Good pizzas & pasta along with other options. Fast service, reasonable prices & friendly staff. What more can you ask for?
Amazing food, I came alot here when it was covid but revisiting this restaurant was amazing. I think the combo with both pizza & the pasta is a great way to taste the quality of the food. All is made freshly & the service is fast & nice
The Good:
- Simple & delicious Italian Menu
- Their pizzas has a thicker crust with a nice chew to it
- Pasta was cooked perfectly al dente & the meat sauce had a rich flavor with perfect acidity
Things to Improve:
- The decor is outdated
- Cutlery need to be changed to newer ones
- Waiters can be more attentive
Update for Oct 2025
I agree with those who say that it used to be better - I mean the food quality
My updated grades are 4 stars (used to be 5).
One of the best gourmet experiences I ever had! The Pizza in the name & the location may not sound attractive, but I'm so happy that my airbnb & the reviews got me there.
Git a mix of pasta & pizza & loved it (I was smart enough not to eat too many of the complimentary rolled & butter on the table.
I don't eat meat, so this is definitely a great place for vegetarian, but looking on other people dishes - not only for those.
The got a generous patio, which is great these days.
My husband & I went for dinner & ordered pasta along with half a bottle of
wine. Everything was delicious! We definitely need to come back to try the pizzas - I noticed everyone around us was having one.

This restaurant is truly worth the trip! The pizza is absolutely excellent, the service impeccable, & the staff wonderfully dedicated. Even the pasta sauce to take home is full of flavor. So come to Elio Pizzaria - you won't be disappointed!
It's a great place to socialize with friends. Had a great time on the patio enjoying our pizzas & pasta....& sangria. Would go there again in a heartbeat
Honesty... I took the days special
Veal Parm & it was kinda gross...
Usually it's good when I take pasta or pizza...
Service is super good & friendly though
The pizza was really good & delicious. The aperol was nice & the salad & arancini were delicious. The pasta with peperoni was amazing! Definitely recommend.

Exceptional Service & Food-Perfect for Groups & Allergy-Friendly!
Elio Pizzeria went above & beyond for our group of 28! Despite our size, we were comfortably accommodated, & the service was outstanding from start to finish. The kids raved about how delicious the pizza was-but for me, the real highlight was the care taken to accommodate my gluten & dairy allergies.
The chef personally came out to discuss my dietary needs & prepared a special gluten- & dairy-free pasta just for me. As someone with food allergies, moments like this are rare & incredibly appreciated. I felt safe, seen, & truly taken care of.
Highly recommend Elio Pizzeria for its incredible food, warm hospitality, & genuine commitment to meeting guests' needs. A true gem!
It's always a pleasure to feel like you're welcome & at home eating with Nonna & Nonno. A casual restaurant with a variety of choices to satisfy your hungry appetite whether it's at lunch or dinner & also take out. They really put their heart & soul into everything they make. You can also buy fresh pasta & sauces to bring home. Having your meal at home with your family is another option when you have less time to dine at the restaurant. A RARE PERLE in LITTLE ITALY. A must go spot when you visit Montréal.
Wanted to give 4.5. We shared Caesar salad, meatballs & a calamari. The ladies had pasta & I a pasta/pizza dish. It's not my favorite pizza but it's good. The pastas were delicious, appetizers as well. Cannolis were good & Tiramisu delicious. We will definitely go again. Not surprised it's been open for so long
Ordering the thin crust pizza is a must, very good. The regular is too bready / yeasty, but the thin is very nice & lets the toppings shine. Also got the fusili gigi pasta. it was delicious & incredibly saucy, & the fusili was homemade. But the $24 price tag is quite steep for what amounts to sauce, pasta, some canned olives, mushrooms & bacon. Those ingredients can't be more than $2 a serving. All in all I recommend it if you're looking for some classic unpretentious north american italian food, definitely pricy for what it is, though, but so are most restaurants these days. Although, I will mention we didn't order a salad as the price was ridiculous. $20 for a ceasar? That's highway robbery. Who would pay that much for romaine lettuce with croutons & bacon bits?
