This restaurant came recommended as'the best sushi ever' & it didn't disappoint. We had the pleasure of sitting at the counter of the sushi bar & Chef merts & his partner chef Jian were amazing. They took great care & made every sushi rolls perfectly. Thanks for the lovely dinne
This was our first time dining at EKKI Sushi & it was truly a memorable experience.
My partner & I sat at the corner of the chef's bar & watching Chef Merts work was absolutely beautiful. His technique is delicate precise & clearly the result of deep passion & hard work. There is such a calm focused energy in the way he prepares each dish & it added so much to the experience.
Everything felt intentional refined & heartfelt. We left feeling genuinely grateful for the care & artistry that went into our meal.
Thank you for this beautiful experience. I highly recommend EKKI Sushi if you want a truly memorable moment crafted by the chef.
We will definitely be back.

La qualité des sushis est excellente ! Je recommande vivement d'essayer. Cependant, gardez à l'esprit que le prix sera assez élevé en raison de la qualité. Le plateau de luxe à 140 $ était suffisamment copieux pour quelqu'un qui a un petit ou un appétit modéré.
Le sashimi était incroyablement délicieux & de grande qualité.
La glace frite (mangue) était succulente.
Ce restaurant est sans aucun doute l'endroit idéal pour une occasion spéciale. Pour deux personnes, le repas coûte 290 $ (après un pourboire de 20 %).
Overall a good experience. The ambiance was great both indoors & outdoors. The food was good, especially the sushi, which was great quality with really good flavours. There was a bit of a delay when we first arrived, we waited a while to be acknowledged & seated, but once we were served, everyone was friendly (it may have just been a busy night).
Head Chef Mertz, along with chefs Jian & Ken, & one of our server Reina were very welcoming & took time to make sure we were well taken care of.
Would recommend, but there's room for improvement with pacing, attentiveness, & acknowledging guests when they arrive.

Nous avons adoré notre expérience à Ekki Sushi. Nous étions assis au bar, devant les chefs. Je tiens à remercier fortement Chef Jian, il a fait notre soirée une superbe expérience. Il nous a préparé une assiette de sushi sublime qui était simplement incroyable. Les serveurs sont très accueillant, connaissent très bien leur menu & sont toujours près à répondre aux questions. La cuisine, l'atmosphère & le service étaient superbe. Restaurant très fortement recommandé!
1. The food was pretty basic Japanese food, nothing out of the ordinary. The portions were ridiculously small, way too pricey. For example: Wagu beef on a stick, consisted of 3 child thumb sized beef pieces on a skewer & costed 28$ CAD. To be honest, if you want to feel full, you need to order at least 6 items of the menu.
2. Service was terrible. Sparkling/tap water is usually free, waitress did not tell us that sparkling water was 12$ a bottle. It took almost 2 hours to get 12 avocado rolls... On top of the long waiting time, she forgot to bring a second bottle of water, our dessert items & even the bill after we requested it (took 3 attemps to get her attention & she still forgot to bring it to us... After a while, she came back to our table & asked us if we wanted to order more food...we requested the bill 20 mins ago.)
3. The music is one musical note playing over & over again, zero effort at all into the ambiance/environment.
4. As guests at the bel air chalets, you would expect a better service & experience for the on site restaurant, as well as some form of discount.
Do not recommend this place unless you like to throw money away. 2 hours later & 250$ lighter, we left the restaurant unsatisfied, annoyed & still hungry.
Edit: Almost 2 years later, we are still waiting on the promised discount coupon they were supposed to send through the mail after calling us to apologize for being such poor hosts. After reading multiple reviews here, i noticed that all the ones having a terrible experience were seating at the chef's table like us. As if the staff deemed us less worthy/profitable than large groups at the tables, which is thruthfully disgusting. Thats a dumb logic as well, considering that small groups can do just as much damage to your reputation by reviewing you poorly for the service they received. Again, aweful management & service.

La qualité & la fraîcheur des produits ne se traduisent malheureusement pas dans l'assiette. Le plateau Deluxe séduit visuellement, mais l'expérience en bouche ne tient pas ses promesses. L'écart entre l'apparence & le goût est frappant.
Payer pour une Ferrari & recevoir un poney : c'est l'impression laissée par Ekki Sushi. Nous ne recommandons pas. À ce prix, des plateaux prêts-à-manger d'une épicerie locale offrent un rapport qualité-prix supérieur.
The fish itself is not bad, they seem to ship it in from Japan twice a week. That is about all I can say about this restaurant in terms of authenticity.
Their wait times are crazy. Their service is horrible, the portions are tiny & the price is sky high. It can all be forgiven if their food is top notch -- Unfortunately it is not it is the complete opposite they deluded themselves into believing they are some kind of high end Michelin level sushi restaurant. Don't fall for the delusion.
1. They do not know how to make sushi rice at all it is clumpy & the flavour as well as the texture is not good & ruins the sushi.
2. I will absolutely NOT recommend the ramen. It is an atrocity I have had better ramen from a convenience store. If you've been to any ramen place I guarantee you it is better than what Ekki sushi makes. The noodles clump up & the broth is some premade slop.
3. They use weird ingredients in their sushi to look fancy? One example is rice cracker puffs that surround some of the Maki. It is dry, chewy & not fresh completely ruining the texture.
If you've had sushi at a similar price point in Toronto or an other big city the the world. This place will disappoint. The online review ratings are high simply because there is no competition here. You will be disappointed if you expect this to be a high end sushi restaurant.
This restaurant was a 10/10 for me ! If I could give it higher, I would. I've never had sushi this fresh in my life. As a food blogger, I eat at many restaurants across the city & even out of the country, & I've truly never experienced sushi like this before. This place is absolutely incredible, & I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tremblant or staying at Bel-Air Resorts.
While this restaurant has a nice atmosphere & setting, the food & service is not worth the price.
Not the server's fault, but they stuck her with the entire outdoor deck full of guests, including a large table of 10-12. The other three tables of two were mostly ignored because of that. Again, not her fault, but it slowed down service significantly to the point where we ordered everything at once.
The food is fine, but not at this price point. A $29 chicken, noodle & vegetable bowl should have way more chicken. I also found it odd that the same bowl without chicken was also priced at $29. They were also somehow out of pork at 7pm…
To top it off, the bill arrived with a pricing error, in which my mocktail was $10 more than advertised. We weren't the only ones with this issue, as others had incorrectly priced items on their bill at the table next to ours. I got a partial refund after I had paid, as I thought I had misremembered the price of the drink, but double checked the menu on the way out.
The refund wasn't sufficient, as I didn't get the tax or tip back, but I'm not going to stick around to argue that.
A real shame. Wouldn't recommend. Go eat elsewhere.

Quelle délicieuse surprise ! Le chef Merts nous a émerveillés avec des sushis d'une fraîcheur & d'une finesse incroyables. Le service, déjà impeccable, s'est distingué grâce à Danae, qui a su me donner d'excellents conseils adaptés à mes préférences végétariennes, toujours avec attention & gentillesse . Une expérience gustative inoubliable 🍣✨
Je recommande fortement, la nourriture exceptionnelle, j'ai jamais manger des sushis aussi frais, la qualité & la !!!
Par contre nous avons commencer le service avec une femme… honnêtement, elle n'avait pas l'air contente de travailler, son service était moyen, elle n'avait aucun sourire, aucune enthousiasme..
Mais le coup a été sauvé par le serveur qui a pris la relève, il nous a bien conseiller sur le vin, était présent, revenait nous voir, j'ai rien à dire, sauf excellent serveur
Bref, nous avons eu une belle expérience somme toute, mais pour la qualité de la nourriture je m'attends à un service digne de se nom.
Cuisine excellente! Parmis les meilleurs sushis que j'ai mangé. Service professionnel & attentionné.
Nous étions 2 personnes & avons partagé un plateau de différents sushi avec deux entrées: une soupe & les dumplings. Je me suis également prise une coupe de vin blanc.
Ambiance très tranquille. (Nous y étions vers la mi-avril).
Je recommande si vous êtes dans la région ou hébergement du site.
L'accessibilité peut être un peu difficile si vous avez des problèmes à marcher.
Beautiful sushi & restaurant. We have been here 3 times & are never disappointed. The Sushi is made well, they have wonderful selection of fish & Maki's. I would recommend to anyone visiting Mt. Tremblant that enjoys good sushi to visit. Roxane is an amazing host, atmosphere was great & service was great!

Pleasantly Surprised - Amazing Food & Service!
I was a little skeptical at first after reading some mixed reviews, but I'm really glad I gave this place a try. The sushi & overall food were absolutely fantastic - super fresh & full of flavor. The service was quick & attentive, & the staff were friendly & welcoming. I honestly don't have any complaints. Everything I tried exceeded my expectations, & I left genuinely impressed. Highly recommend giving it a shot!
Third time but definitely not the last. This place never fails to amuse me & everybody I brought in to try the best sushi in Tremblant. The location & ambiance is beautiful, & the food was the big cherry on top! 🤩 Big shoutout to Chef Merts for an amazing masterpiece! It's incredible how food can look so good & also taste delicious! I believe he changes the sushi menu based on the season & this has got to be one of the best sets I've tried. The servers were all so kind & accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits Tremblant. We only did a day trip but we ended our day with a full & happy stomach 🥰🤤
Notre Hôte, Roxane à été exceptionnelle, service, explications, attention & son professionnalisme ont rendu notre soirée magique & surtout exceptionnelle. Merci aux chefs pour la création & la conception des plats à un niveau plus que parfait.
