My friend & I had an amazing experience at this restaurant.
We came without a reservation on a Saturday evening & we were quickly assigned a table.
We really didn't have to wait long at any point during our experience.
We arrived at 18h20 & left with a full belly at 19h30.
We received the menu quickly & the waiter came 5 minutes later to take our order.
Parmesan cheese was offered both when we were served the appetizers & main dishes.
The virgin bloody Cesar was excellent.
The Italian wedding soup was very good, my friend even ordered a second serving.
The garden salad was very refreshing & had just the right amount of dressing.
My friend thinks the Canadian calzone was very good. It was served with a side of marinara sauce & spicy oil.
I really liked the spaghetti & meatballs.
All the staff were very friendly & polite.
I read a review saying the waiter did not put his leftover food in a container he will take home. I had the same experience, the waiter left us a container to put our leftovers in, but I think this is completely fine considering the prices at this restaurant are affordable. I would expect the waiter to do it for me if I were dining at an expensive restaurant.
Waitress was very nice & patient it was our first time out for lunch with our 5 month old :) the food was delicious!
This is a processed food restaurant, & even the salad was ‚limp', sorry to say this place will only be on my visit list prior to close starvation
Superbe resto, très propre, personnel rapide & courtois. Excellente nourriture 👌😎💖
We were 5 & had to wait an hour before getting served. The waiters were lost & constantly switching. They were clearly making up excuses every time they made us wait but atleast they were kind. On top of it all, the food was extremely bland & not at all restaurant quality, not all of it is bad as the others at my table had great meals tho.
A masterclass in how not to run a restaurant.
We arrived at 6:30 on a Saturday night without a reservation & were seated quickly. That was the only thing that went smoothly.
Then came the waiting game. Forty minutes passed before anyone brought menus or acknowledged us. I started noticing something odd-no one around us had food. It felt more like a holding area than a dining room.
When the waiter finally showed up, we ordered a 4-meat pizza, chicken & shrimp scampi, a Brio, & a Corona Cero. He came by after a good 30-40 minutes to tell us the shrimp might take a while. Apparently, they were catching them fresh.
The food arrived just before 8pm. My pizza looked like it had been ready for ages-dry, barely warm, & the crust? Pure white bread. Not pizza dough. Not even close. It tasted like someone tried to recreate pizza based on a vague description & a blurry photo.
My girlfriend's scampi didn't fare much better. She said the sauce was'unusual,' to put it nicely, ate most but left half of the chicken, & asked for a takeout box. The waiter dropped a plastic container on the table & walked off. No offer to pack it up-apparently, that's now a DIY task. Isn't that why we tip?
To top it off, the $3.99 Corona Cero was listed as a $5.49 Becks s/a on the bill. I didn't bother arguing. The waiter never came back for the card machine anyway-I paid & left, just glad it was over.
Now, to be fair: the staff on hand seemed to be doing their best. But it was painfully obvious they were understaffed for such a busy night, & the whole experience suffered because of it.
This wasn't my first visit, but it will absolutely be my last. If you're in the mood for long waits, dry pizza, & DIY leftovers, this place has you covered.
