Review Summary

Dulce is described as a small dessert spot near Old Montreal and the Old Port that stands out for its inviting aroma and cute interior decor, offering freshly fried churros and an instagrammable vibe despite nearby dessert options. Experiences vary with hours and closures, as some visits found the shop closed when hours indicated it should be open, though a return visit included a warm staff member. The interior and scent contribute to the appeal, while the matcha flavor is often disappointing and the churro lacks the expected crunch, especially when freshly fried. Overall, Dulce is viewed as worth returning to for flavors and the charming ambience, with a note to adjust expectations on sweetness and texture at times.

This little dessert store is located nearby Old Montreal & Old Port, standing out with its incredible smell & intentional/cutest decorations even with the competition of Ben & Jerry & Mr Puffs nearby 🤩

I came here on a Friday evening during my walk through Old Montreal, & I specifically saved this place because it looked amazing from other reviewed photos. Unfortunately, it was closed even though Googles hours indicated that it should have been open (though this was my fourth time this has happened to me, even the same as Ben & Jerry down the street too- is it common in Montreal?)

I came back again today & was received by a warm worker. The decors & the smell inside is even better, & I didn't know or expect them to fry the churros fresh!! Unfortunately, I was ultimately a bit disappointed with the matcha flavor, as it was pretty much non existent, & the fresh churro didn't have that satisfying crunch factor that I thought it would have, especially with it being freshly fried. Overall, I would come back again for the flavors & the cutest instagrammable interior, but perhaps I will just have to adjust my expectations a bit next time :)
