Review Summary

Overall, Dosa Pointe is celebrated for authentic South Indian dosas, fresh chutneys and sambar, and generous portions at good value, with many praising the variety from classic dosas to Mysore masala, idli and vada, as well as Indo Chinese options like chilli garlic noodles and hakka noodles. The vibe is lively and welcoming, with friendly staff and a family friendly atmosphere, though some reviews mention crowded spaces, weekend waits, and occasional service lapses. The flavors transport diners back home for many, and staff attention to allergies is noted as a plus, while some guests suggest that consistency and pacing could improve during peak hours. All in all, Dosa Pointe stands out as a top destination for South Indian and Indo Chinese cuisine in Montreal, offering authentic taste, value, and a memorable, bustling dining experience.

Must try their dosa. They have amazing dosa varieties. Vegetable biryani is delicious here.

Ordered takeout for a Masala dosa. The Sambar they gave me was literally water. No vegetables or anything in the Sambar. Dissapointed as I thought it was a good place based on the google reviews

The best Indian restaurant in Montreal. Period.

A family run shop, they cook fresh every day & serve with a big smile. It's not a fine dining place though, you go there for delicious South Indian food in a warm, homely environment.

They do only one thing (Andhra food) & they do it really well. & I say this after briefly working in Hyderabad.

They have recently started Indian Chinese as well (also sometimes referred to as Tangra Chinese) & it tastes exactly the same as you would find at the very best places in Bangalore / Calcutta / Delhi.

Word of advice: Andhra food is by default spicy (just like food from Sichuan province in China) & Dosa Pointe stays true to the traditional recipes. If you are someone who can't handle spicy food, do ask the staff which dishes would be more suitable for you.

I have taken Mysore dosa & it was awesome. Mango lassi was also refreshing. One small boy was on my service, he did it perfectly, we are feeling like being especially high level people 😂 because servers were so nice & their way of talking was so respectful.
I will come there once again cause I have to try many things there.

Absolutely loved their dosas, idlis & vadas. Taste of their sambar & variety of chutneys was the key highlight.

Expensive & leaves you hungry… I ordered a chilli garlic chicken & it was a joke the amount of chicken in the dosa… not coming back.

Dosa pointe is definitely on point ! 2 kinds of sambar , the regular coconut sauce & a first peanut sauce for the dosa plate . Their egg fried rice with Manchurian chicken is an excellent choice as an alternative dish

Small place but the food is really amazing. Quite cheap, too. Sambhar is a bit spicy if you are not used to eating spicy food. Dosas are amazing, so is idli. We didn't like wada that much. All the chutneys & sambhar are super tasty. I am still debating about briyani. I have had better briyanis. It's not bad or anything. It's just not 5 star tasty if you catch my drift.
