Review Summary

Dosa Pointe is described as a bustling, family friendly spot where consistent bold, authentic South Indian flavors come through in crispy dosas, fluffy idli, and flavorful sambar and chutneys. The menu spans a wide range from classic dosas such as masala dosa and Mysore dosa to Chettinad lamb keema dosa and popular Indo Chinese options like chilli garlic noodles and hakka noodles, all offered in generous portions and good value. Reviewers praise friendly, attentive service and a lively atmosphere, though crowds can mean waits and a crowded room, especially on weekends. While some notes mention occasional oiliness or sambhar that could be spicier, the overall consensus is that the authenticity and quality make Dosa Pointe a top choice for South Indian and Indo Chinese cravings in Montreal. Overall, it is seen as a must visit for dosa lovers and a place that many feel delivers home style flavors and memorable meals.

We are from GTA & have been in many places in Canada & tasted indian food. We can unequivocally vouch this restaurant serves best tasting south indian food. Even all chutneys that they serve on side are of highest quality & taste that one will never find anywhere in North America. We ordered Dosa, Idli (super soft & tasty), Chilli garlic chicken noodles (awesome taste) , coffee (delicious), mango lassi, gulab jamun (yum). Everything we ordered had the genuine taste of flavours that the food deserves. The servers are well mannered & we loved them. The owner is so genuine & down to earth that we felt humbled to talk to him. We strongly recommend everyone who visit Montreal to dine in here at least once & rest assured you will leave with a happy tummy & smile. Thanks to everyone at this restaurant. Chef, we love you!

"I had the most delicious dosa recently & I must say, it was truly exceptional! The staff were incredibly welcoming & attentive, making sure I felt right at home. But what really stole the show was the dosa itself - it was crispy, flavorful, & served hot. The filling was generous & tasty, & the chutneys on the side added an extra layer of flavor. The staff took great care to attend to every need, refilling & checking in on throughout meal. I was thoroughly impressed with the service & the food quality. If you're a dosa lover like me, this place is a must-visit! Five stars & can't wait to go back!"

If you're craving a delightful mix of South Indian & Indo-Chinese cuisine, Dosa Pointe is the place to be. Their idlis are soft & fluffy, served with an array of chutneys that perfectly complement each bite. The dosas are crisp & golden, generously filled with your choice of savoury fillings. On the Hakka side, their noodles & fried rice are a treat, striking the right balance of flavours & spices. The ambiance is warm, & the service is prompt & friendly. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a diverse & satisfying meal!

The dosas are yummy..but please dont serve it with icy cold chutneys...at least bring it to room temp. It really spoils the experience

We have tried this place at Montreal. I have ordered my favourite Rasam🥰😍✌️❤️. Guys must try dish from their menu. I have literally replaced my regular sambhar from Rasam in my dosa plate. We ordered Maisoor dosa, ghee paneer masala dosa & Paneer Bhurji Dosa( must try dosa from their menu as well). We also ordered onion chilli uttapam - one of the best dish they have.🥰 soft & goes well with chutneys. They coconut chutney was outstanding🥰 Must try place if you have craving for South Indian foods. They do have non veg options & biryanis as well in their menu. Just I got struggle here is Parking. Because of downtown there is bit struggle to find parking space but taste has overpower this issue😅 Highly recommended👍

Ordered Karampodi dosa, Karampodi idli, Chilli baby corn, Plain dosa, Mysore Masala dosa & Chai. All the food I ordered was pretty good. Idli was very soft & it melted right in my mouth. The chutney & sambar were pretty good! I would come to this place again if I am around this area.

I just loved the south Indian food here. We ordered Chettinad Masala Dosa & Mysore Dosa. The dosas were very delicious. Both the dosas were as good as the ones you get in India, if not better. I also ordered veg noodles. The noodles were perfectly cooked & tasted really good. I would have liked a little soy sauce & some chilli sauce on the side. Unfortunately they do not serve any sauces apart from the coconut & garlic chutney. Overall I enjoyed my food. I didn't mind waiting 10 minutes to get a table. I will definitely visit this place again to try their wonderful variety of dosas.

Tha taste of dosas is authentic South Indian. 😋 no one can miss talking about the chutneys. Their coconut chutney offers an authentic South Indian dining experience. From crispy dosas, schezwan noodles, to mango lassi each dish is a flavor-packed journey. I highly recommend it for authentic South Indian food.

Absolutely loved their dosas, idlis & vadas. Taste of their sambar & variety of chutneys was the key highlight.

Small place but the food is really amazing. Quite cheap, too. Sambhar is a bit spicy if you are not used to eating spicy food. Dosas are amazing, so is idli. We didn't like wada that much. All the chutneys & sambhar are super tasty. I am still debating about briyani. I have had better briyanis. It's not bad or anything. It's just not 5 star tasty if you catch my drift.
