Finally found the best dosa in Montreal! This was my first time at Dosa Express in DDO, & as a huge dosa lover, I was blown away. The highlight for me is that they offer a ghee option, so you can enjoy your meal without refined oils, total game changer.
I ordered the Ghee Mysore Masala Dosa & the Ghee Plain Dosa. The Mysore masala was incredibly flavorful, & the portions are massive ( one os enough for two people to share). The sambar was soothing & perfectly consistent, no oily film on top, & the chutneys tasted fresh & simple. Highly recommend if you want an authentic, high quality meal!
If you're looking to try the most authentic Dosas in the West Island then please look no further as this restaurant gives it all to you & more 🙏🙏 The staff is super gracious, welcoming with the best fast service ever 🎉🎉 My mother had the Masala Dosa while I had the Mysore Masala Dosa & the taste was beyond delicious ❤?❤? Full compliments to the chef for making it so tasty & authentic & we equally loved the sambar, coconut chutney & tomato chutney 🎉🎉 Both the chutneys were so delicious that I couldn't choose which one was my favorite 🎉🎉Cannot wait to come with more family & friends & try everything else on the menu in this 11/10 restaurant 🙏🙏 UPDATE: Went again with a larger group & had idly, vada, plain dosa, masala dosa, paneer masala dosa, & Mysore masala dosa & as always amazing taste & fantastic service 🙏🙏
I got the mysore masala dosa & it was soooo good!!! The coconut chutney was probably the best I've ever had, the masala was so flavourful & the actual dosa was so crispy - just how I like it !! I can't wait to go back! Finally a good dosa resto in the West Island.
Tried Dosa Express recently & absolutely loved it! 😋 We ordered Mysore Masala Dosa, Ghee Karam Masala Dosa, Onion Masala Dosa, Uttappam, & Idli-Vada - everything was crispy, flavorful, & tasted authentic South Indian style. 💛
The prices were decent, & the staff & chefs were super friendly. They even offered a few dishes to sample & happily took feedback, which shows how much they care about their customers. 🙌

We stumbled upon Dosa Express by chance while searching for a place open on Labour Day-& what a lucky find it turned out to be! Not only were they open, but they also graciously accommodated our group of eight without any hassle.
The dosas were absolutely outstanding. We tried the Masala, Podi, Mysore Masala, & Karam dosas-each one packed with flavor & perfectly crisped. We also ordered three plates of idlis, which were soft, fluffy, & steamed to perfection. The sambar was flavorful, & not overly spicy, making it a great complement to the meal.
Beyond the delicious food, the service was truly exceptional. A special shout-out to Venki & his team for their warm hospitality & attentiveness throughout our visit.
We left happy & full-& we'll definitely be coming back for more!
Oh my gosh. I'm visiting from the U.S. (Washington state). My family took us out to the new location of Dosa Express. It was phenomenal. Our group tried 9 different dosas (masala, karam, mysore masala, plain, etc.). Each & every dosa was delicious... got their podi too. Their idlis were amazing! The service was also fantastic... owner Venkie was gracious & very accommodating. This place is a must visit.
Absolutely delightful! The taste of the dosas at Dosa Express in DDO was simply outstanding-crispy on the outside, soft & flavorful on the inside, with the perfect balance of spices. The menu offered a fantastic variety, from the classic Masala Dosa to creative fusion options, each one bursting with authentic South Indian flavors.
The sambar & chutneys were freshly made, aromatic, & complemented the dosas beautifully. The presentation was also impressive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Every bite felt like a true culinary journey to the heart of South India.
I highly recommend Dosa Express to anyone craving authentic, high-quality dosas served with warmth & efficiency. This place has definitely set the bar high for dosa spots worldwide! Went to eat two consecutive days & will be coming back for sure.
Yesterday, my family & I were traveling from Quebec to Toronto when we stumbled upon this incredible restaurant along the way. We decided to try a few South Indian dishes & ordered masala dosa, idli vada, & chicken pakoda. Every dish exceeded our expectations - fresh, flavorful, & perfectly prepared.
I usually don't write reviews unless the experience is either exceptionally bad or someone specifically asks me to. But this time, I felt to share my experience because of the outstanding quality of food & service we received. The staff was courteous, & the overall atmosphere was warm & welcoming.
Highly recommended for anyone passing through & craving authentic, delicious Indian food. A true gem.

I visited this dosa place & absolutely loved it! The dosas were crisp, perfectly golden, & filled with flavorful masala. The chutneys & sambar were fresh & authentic-just like homemade! The staff was polite & quick with service .If you're craving South Indian food, this is definitely a must-try spot. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves South Indian food!

This place was amazing!! Some of the best dosas I have ever had. They are huge, well seasoned, light, not greasy, & just delicious! I had the mysore masala dosa, the ghee podi dosa, paneer masala dosa, & a plain. The ghee podi & mysore masala were my favorites. Just so so delicious. The spice in the masala dosas was perfect. I am not Indian, but do like good spice, but not burn my mouth type. This was flavor+heat & it was so delicious. They ran out of sambar, & so the manager or owner or whatever his role was, the man in charge in any case, was so gracious as to come out & offer me anything else to go with. He gave me butter chicken & it was some of the smoothest & most flavorful I have had. & two basil seed soda drinks too! Wonderful service. The shop is a stall in the Marché Ouest, so it's not fancy, but there is seating, although we took ours to go. We liked having to walk in through the plants & flowers to discover the eateries! & the price was sooo reasonable. Each dosa is a meal!
A great addition to the Marche de l'Ouest, Dosa Express offers many different dosa options, as well as other South Indian specialties you typically would not find anywhere else. Service is friendly & welcoming. The quality of the food is outstanding, it is served hot & fresh & portions are very large.
I tried the Masala Dosa & its potato filling was deliciously flavorful, while the dosa was crispy & addictively good-served with homemade sambaar & two sauces on the side, all for only $9.99. The mango lassi was also delicious-a refreshing beverage to go with the meal.
If you are craving delicious, homemade food at an excellent value, I highly recommend Dosa Express. There is also plenty of seating available just a few steps away for a quick & comfortable lunch.
