Un véritable coup de coeur !
Le service est exceptionnel : personnalisé, attentionné & vraiment avenant. On sent que l'équipe est à l'écoute & anticipe les besoins sans même qu'on ait à les exprimer, ce qui rend l'expérience encore plus agréable.
Les portions sont généreuses & très bien présentées, avec un excellent rapport qualité-prix considérant la qualité des plats (nous avons pris des cocktails, un menu table d'hôte, une entrée & repas à la carte & un dessert). Le menu est varié, il y en a pour tous les goûts.
L'ambiance est chaleureuse dans un décor contemporain, parfaite pour décrocher & passer un bon moment.
Ceux qui aiment le Maestro à Saint-Sauveur vont assurément adorer ce restaurant qui lui est affilié.

Excellente expérience du début à la fin.
La nourriture est exquise : chaque plat est soigneusement pensé, avec une belle présentation & une véritable explosion de saveurs. Les desserts maison du chef sont un vrai coup de coeur. Le service est chaleureux & attentionné. Il est fortement recommandé de réserver à l'avance, surtout le vendredi & la fin de semaine. À noter : il n'y a pas de stationnement réservé, il faut se stationner dans les rues avoisinantes.
Très belle soirée, belle ambiance & tout était délicieux ( nous avons pris soupe à l'oignon & pétoncle en entrée, filet mignon & crevette en repas, crème brûlée & fondant au chocolat pour dessert. Un service exceptionnel de la part de Mathieu.
Un service impeccable & attentionné. Tout était excellent de l'entrée aux desserts. Nous allons devoir y retourner parce que le seul bémol, la bouteille de vin (Petit Manou) qui accompagnait notre repas ne se trouve pas à la saq.

Service & ambience tres bien. Rien de mal à dire. Les plats étaient très bons mais malheureusement les portions très petites. Un plat de ravioli avec 8 raviolis dedans. Après 2 entrées, 1 plat & 1 dessert j'ai encore faim. Bon en bouche mais pas un resto pour hommes qui mangent.

On a quiet wendsday evening in Sainte-Adèle, just two streets away from our home, we stepped into Donalda, discreetly nestled on Valiquette Street. What followed wasn't just dinner-it was a sequence of perfectly timed sensations, where every element felt curated yet unpretentious. A delightful discovery so close to home, it made us wonder how we had missed it until now.
The Setting
The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between warmth & elegance. Wood accents, soft lighting, & calm, inviting energy make the space feel instantly comfortable. It's a place that lets you relax without lowering the bar. You don't feel rushed, nor forgotten-just welcomed.
Starters - An Elegant Opening
We began with a crème de champignons that was truly exceptional. Silky & luxurious, it captured the essence of fresh forest mushrooms with a depth that lingered. A gentle richness that never overpowered-just enough to coat the palate & awaken the senses. It was, without exaggeration, a comforting masterpiece.
Following this, two refined starters arrived:
- The foie gras au torchon, delicate & buttery, with a refined balance between richness & subtlety. Served chilled, it melted on the tongue, offering depth without excess.
- The roasted octopus (pieuvre rôtie) was tender & charred just enough to add complexity. Its natural flavor came through beautifully, elevated by careful seasoning & confident restraint.
Main Courses - Crafted with Care
Each main dish continued the story of finesse & intention:
- The carré d'agneau was juicy, perfectly pink inside, & full of character. Accompaniments were thoughtful & enhanced the dish without stealing the show.
- The bavette de boeuf 1855, served medium-rare, was rich, tender, & deeply satisfying. Its bold flavor was matched with elegant sides, & the cut itself was of unmistakable quality.
- The linguini with shrimp (linguini aux crevettes) was bright & balanced, with generous, perfectly cooked shrimp & a silky sauce that tied the dish together without overwhelming it.
Desserts & Closure
We ended with two classics presented with poise:
- The tiramisu, layered with precision, offered the perfect balance of creaminess & espresso. No twists-just honest, traditional execution.
- The chocolate fondant, warm & indulgent, delivered a molten center that oozed with depth & comfort. Paired with two expertly made lattés, it was a sweet, slow finale.
Our mineral water kept things light & refreshing-no alcohol needed for a meal that already felt celebratory.
Service & Atmosphere
The service was graceful. Discreet but present. Questions were answered with honesty, & everything-from timing to plate clearing-was done with a quiet rhythm that made us feel truly cared for. The staff treated our non-alcoholic order with the same respect as a wine pairing. That alone speaks volumes.
Cleanliness & Details
Immaculate surroundings. Thoughtfully designed restrooms. No clutter. Just clean, calming, & consistent attention to detail from start to finish.
A Hidden Gem Nearby
The most surprising part? This quality of food & service is just a short walk from home. Donalda feels like a culinary retreat tucked into everyday life-effortless to access, impossible to forget.
Final Thoughts
Donalda doesn't rely on flash or fame. It offers something far more valuable: food with soul, service with heart, & an atmosphere that lets it all breathe. & yet, despite its humble presence in Sainte-Adèle, this little gem could confidently stand shoulder to shoulder with some of Montréal's finest restaurants. In taste, in care, in spirit-it absolutely belongs among the best.
We'll return, no doubt. With friends. With family. Or simply on another quiet evening when we need to be reminded that excellence often lives just around the corner.
Delicious food. Cute upscale small restaurant. Full with lots of people. Hard to hear your own company. Only one server on a Tuesday night. Very slow service. The server wasn't bilingual (French/english) but did her best. I received my dessert free due to waiting so long for it; it was a chocolate soufflé. We had 2 drinks each, 1 app, 2 entries, 2 desserts & payed about $200. Parking was on the street far down the main road.
Menu viandes, pâtes & poissons incroyablement bon , sans parler des entrées trop délicieuses & des desserts divins !
Une belle découverte. Une cuisine attentionnée & rehaussée. Délicieux du premier service au dessert.
