Dispatch Coffee is widely praised for excellent coffee and a bright, spacious, minimalist space that works well for studying, remote work, or meeting friends. The vibe is described as calm, welcoming, and well designed, with natural light and a solid lineup of filter coffees and ethically sourced beans. Staff are repeatedly noted as friendly and knowledgeable, offering helpful service even when busy. The menu is appreciated for quality pastries and a rotating selection of coffees, though some reviews mention price and limited food options. A few drawbacks appear, including occasional espresso dialing issues, noisy environments, and crowds on weekends, with some mentions of flies near pastries and wifi that can be unreliable. Overall, Dispatch Coffee stands out as a top option for coffee in Montreal, renowned for its coffee quality, space to work or study, and friendly crew, even as experiences can vary by visit.
Came by with some friends for coffee & stayed to study. The Cortado was lovely & my friend enjoyed his cappuccino. The space is also super cool but sometimes a bit cramped to do work in if you don't get one of the upper tables - music was also on the louder side. Overall though would definitely come again!

Often busy but for a reason! Amazing drinks & service. Staff are always attentive, playlists are always eclectic & great, & the pastries are to die for. My favourite café in Montréal! Amazing for studying.
I'm not usually one to leave a Google review, but on Monday I had an experience at Dispatch that did no less than set the tone for what has been one of the best weeks of my life. The curly-haired welcoming guy who sold me my coffee was a delight - I received exactly the kind of service that I sometimes feel myself mourning in these dire times. He reinvigorated my love of loving coffee & reminded me of the unadulterated delight that an oat milk cappuccino can spark at the beginning of a day. I simply cannot wait to be back.
A couple weeks ago, we were spending a couple nights visiting Montreal & we like to seek out independent coffee shops like this one. It was busy when we got there but thankfully found a place to sit to enjoy a drip coffee & a decaf latte & a pain au chocolat. Everything tasted great. We love to support independent local roasters too especially ethically sourced as their coffee is. Definitely recommend!
Went in for a pastry & the case is open on one side. There were little bugs flying aime & walking all over the cookies & scones it was gross. Person behind the counter didn't seem to fussed about it.
