Dispatch Café was outstanding when I first tried it in 2016. The place was new & beautifully designed, with very fresh, high-quality pastries & even made-to-order toast with jam, goat cheese, or avocado. Sadly, ten years later, the place feels run-down. The bespoke wooden furniture is broken & stained, the pastries no longer seem to come from the same supplier, & the café is regularly infested with fruit flies… even in the middle of winter.

Likewise, before COVID, the employees tended to stay for a long time. They became familiar faces, were well known by regular customers, & were generally well liked. Now there seems to be constant employee turnover, to the point that I rarely recognize anyone working there anymore.

Bottom line, is that there are many newer, cleaner cafés with a better staff, better design & better food options & coffee of course! There's no reason to go Dispatch anymore.

Le matcha était bon, le service impeccable, calme, musique pas trop forte. Idéal pour travailler. En revanche le minimalisme de la deco… on se croirait à la bibliothèque. Je sais pas, de jolis tableaux un peu design & le tour serait joué, des coussins aussi peut être?

Un incontournable pour le café de spécialité. J'aime surtout leur rotation des cafés filtres & qu'ils offrent toujours deux choix intéressants. Les baristas s'y connaissent vraiment & peuvent discuter autant de la provenance des grains que des notes de dégustation.
EDIT : récemment, leur café filtre a tendance à être sous-extrait & manque de goût. & les fins de semaine ils ouvrent assez tard à 8h30.

The coffee was excellent, & the atmosphere was incredibly cozy. I immediately added this café to my list of favorites. They had a wide variety of coffee beans, andI'd love to try next time! The interior was charming & made the whole coffee experience even more enjoyable. I can't wait to come back!

I ordered a delicious tea while my friend ordered a Guatemelan filtered coffee that he described as one of the best he has ever had. The staff was extremely knowledgeable & super hospitable. Would definitely recommend!
