The dessert was disgusting. I have never had such horrible dessert in Montreal. It's over priced for the thing you get. They only look good but there is no layering in flavor other than sweet & fat.
We came at 8:40p Friday Sept 4th, 2 employees refused us to sit, while it was empty & multiple seats available telling us it's only take out & we can't be served. We advised we will bring our coffees to our table & clean it even after & she still refused. Advising she was advised by management as they are short staffed, while they were 4 that we saw working at the counter. To add my father in law asked twice nicely ,who uses a walker. Very bad service & zero willingness to work or serve. Disappointed. They proved they simply wanted to leave early & not work. When we asked what about those already seated, she replied they were here long time ago! Shame in you.
A beautiful spot at Royalmount for anyone who loves desserts. The presentation is elegant & everything looks carefully crafted. The French pastries are delicious, & the atmosphere feels modern & sophisticated. A great place to stop for something sweet while visiting Royalmount. Definitely worth trying!
Conveniently located on the ground floor of the mall, so it's very easy to find & reach.
The place itself looks beautiful - stylish, fancy, modern, & very Instagrammable. The presentation definitely makes a good first impression, & the staff were polite & friendly.
Unfortunately, the overall experience was quite chaotic. The ordering system could be organized much better: first you need to find a seat, then stand in line to order & pay, & after that wait again. It felt like we were constantly waiting for something rather than simply enjoying the café.
The cappuccino was good, but the desserts were disappointing. They look beautiful, but they are very small, & the amount of filling inside is tiny. We tried a dessert described as dark chocolate with raspberry, but it tasted more like mousse with a little jelly rather than a proper chocolate dessert. The chocolate itself didn't taste particularly high-quality either. White chocolate peach was also average & disappointing. For a place that presents itself as a premium pâtisserie, I expected much better quality & more professional pastry-making. It looks much more impressive than it tastes.
Service organization was another issue. We visited on a Sunday around 3 p.m., & there was no manager available. When we asked to speak with one, we ended up waiting around 30 minutes & nobody showed up.
Had a pleasant & delicious experience at Delysées Desserts. The concept & design of the space are beautiful & elegant. My dessert was fresh & delicious.
The only suggestion I would make is to further elevate the coffee experience, especially the latte art. It would make the coffee drinks even more appealing & better aligned with the elegant concept & aesthetic of the space.
Visited today. This place is SO badly run. Had to find our own (unclean) table, for starters. When ordering pastries & drinks, the woman at the cash seemed literally clueless with a blank stare, & had no idea what she was doing. The barista told us it would be at least 25 minutes to receive a double espresso & a tea - when we both chose to order some teas from the menu instead, turns out none of the flavours they advertise are available except one or two flavours. All of this was communicated rudely & unprofessionally. Worst of all, there is an incredibly ill-mannered'manager' behind the counter - wasn't even wearing a uniform (literally in a street clothes like a black t-shirt & running shoes, dangly earring) pretending to manage the place - he was super rude & unprofessional, & had no ability to speak to people nicely, manage customer flow or even behave professionally. He decided they were just going to stop serving drinks…orders piling up everywhere, complete mayhem. This guy made the whole place look bad. You're making an upscale place look like a cheap dump - all because of the service. Applause, honestly.
