I went to the Montreal Comedy Club & MTL Comedy Ville sponsored event at 7:00 pm (EDT) on April 25, 2026 for a friend's birthday. It was my first time at the Comedy Club in Montreal. We enjoyed thoroughly! The host, Ali Mohammedi was quick on his feet with the humour & engaged the crowd very well. The 5 acts were good. Victor Cesar was awesome, loved his experience stories! John Achkar was funny. Dan Allaire adjusted his set, & then it was quite hilarious. The female comedian (my apologies for not remembering her name), I enjoyed because of her vulnerability, she adjusted her skit, but it was intellectual.
Overall a good night with food & drinks! The servers were very good & efficient. Loved the guy who seated us! Definitely worth a visit!
The comedy show was great but I don't recommend having something from the restaurant.
1. BE CAREFUL when paying, they still have the tip percentage calculated over the amount with taxes, which is illegal in Quebec. The Law has been in place since May 2025, they had more than enough time to change it.
2. The drinks are 15$+ taxes, it's written 2oz of alcohol on their menu but you could barely feel it. Clearly diluted…
3. The food wasn't tasty either, the burger patty didn't look like it was made from ground beef, it tasted like a mix of different meat that has been Frozen for a while. Fries are Brown & incredibly oily….
A disappointment unfortunately. First & last time there.
We went for a comedy show & I thought I would grab a fry as a snack but the food looked so good that we went all in for pizza, Greek salad, & nachos. Honestly, the food was really good, never had such moist chicken in an underground resto lol. I don't get how they're so empty. It looks like a subway from the outside but the inside is huge & well decorated !! Great service too!!
Caesar is good. Went for the comedy show, which was mid. Definitely going here instead of the business lounge next time I take the train. Service was fast & nachos unexpectedly good
great evening! we visited to watch the Comdeyville, Comedy Club & we were not disappointed! appart from the show being super fun & entertaining, the restaurant itself was very welcoming. the food was pretty average but their drinks were really nice! definitely recommend!
The comedy show was fabulous, I would recommend eating before you go as the food was by far our least favourite of the trip. We tipped however did not tip the full 15% as the food was not good. Then when trying to use the bathroom before I left the server who was great until this point cornered me & asked what was wrong with the service. I told her the food was not good, she then told me "there's a 15% minimum for tips & that if we choose to tip less then we wouldn't be getting good service while in Montreal". I did not appreciate this personal approach after the show. We have no problem in tipping well & have done so on all of our many Montreal trips.
Had a blast at the Comedy Show on Friday night. No safe seats here, because you can end up being part of the show no matter where you sit. Best burger & goat cheese salad. Everything tastes better in Montreal.
Ate here through Comedyville & enjoyed it so much came back before boarding our train. Had pizza which was served in 12 minutes. Fluffy crust on the edges & thin in the middle with lots of cheese. Medium pizza haf 6 slices. Had wine with our meal & all cost $45 plus tip. Pizza is pizza for me so if I had more time I would have had the grilled chicken with rice & salad again. Best chicken I've ever had. My husband enjoyed the smoked meat too. Both dishes had loads of fries. Massive portions were served while at the comedy. I'll be back.
We were there late Friday for a snack. There was a comedy show on that we didn't attend. We had poutine & onion rings. I expected cheese curds, but it was just shredded cheese. We went here because of the good poutine reviews, still tasty, but would have preferred the cheese curds..
Pub food, but very good pub food & at a reasonable price. Jan 2024, spent $129 including two tickets to the comedy night, two meals, two beers & a coffee, with 20% tip.
