Afficher toutsoup(31) tea(19) milk(17) noodle(12) laksa(10) fish(10) recommend(10) curry(9) dishes(7) drink(6) beef(6) style(6)I choose a soup noodle Malaysian Laksa. Choose your soup base, 2 choices of meats, sea foods or vegetables, noodle & it comes with free selected hot drink. Presented: laksa udon with shrimps (3), fish balls (3), lettuce, slices of mushrooms & lemon tea. For people who don't eat too spicy, Laksa is a good choice. The soup is creamy with coconut milk. It's one of the rare place that offer that meal.
Portion of beef tongue for $5 seemed too less...as one of them look partially bitten off & overall size looks like a veal's tongue. & I was expecting that the $4 specialllity milk tea had tapioca balls in it, but it did not have. Otherwise soup & taste of milk tea was still good. But the beef tongue is -1.
We loved the downtown restaurant that bears the same name so we had high expectation of this restaurant. We went on a Saturday. There were 3 waitering staff plus kitchen staff plus staff that is stationed at the cash counter where people settle the bill… we sat down, we wanted to get glasses of water, it took a while. It also took a while for us to get our order in. We wanted hot sauce, that took a while. The tall guy simply looks rather new, he walks around but does not pay attention to the customers. There were really only 1 waitress who knows what she is doing. Amex website said they accept amex, but they don't.
At this restaurant, everything is at least $20, but the service is mediocre at best (i try to explain it to myself that maybe they were full that day, & hence the very poor service & that maybe i catch them on a bad day).
The food is also unimpressive compared to downtown location & very forgettable. (I ordered the soup noodle & it has very little noodles in it, even when i paid for extra noodles). The service, food, & attitude of staff is much better at their downtown location.
Other than them serving a lot of food & plates from HK, I do not see why this is a popular or famous place to go in Brossard… 😅
This is one of the few restaurants in Montreal that serve Hong Kong style milk tea, i always order their make your own soup bowl, but i found their garnitures are always overcooked, I think the reason for this is they kept the ingredients in a steam table to keeping it warm, the advantage of doing this is that they can quickly serve their food, overall, it is a good restaurant, i would recommend for you to try it if you are happan to be near Brossard area (South shore).
Update: the quality of the food has gone down sigificantly.
Dear Deer Garden, how do I start this? Thank you for welcoming my best friend & I on a regular basis to enjoy your excellent food. Every time I come here, I get greeted with great smiles from the staff & I get to leave with warmth not only from the delicious soup but also from the amazing service. -Léa & Alexia
Oh Deer Garden soup signatures, the best asian restaurant in the South Shore. I often come here with my best friend & I always leave with a smile on my face & endless memories of the dinner I had. My tummy is full but heart is fuller of love of this restaurant I like to call home. The service is excellent & it excels every expectation just like the food. 10/10 would recommend
Lovely spot with a large menu of soups, ingredients & fried cutlets.
Sure, it's 20 bucks a meal now but then again, that's standard now for everywhere.
We lucked out, the service was great, food was awesome too (not epicurian stuff, it's basically comfort hearty food).
Will be craving to go back!
Super bon service , super bonne soupe !
Halibuts maybe a bit too salty. But fish soup noodles & HK milk tea are great! 👍
Nice ambiance; everything else is just average. I didn't enjoy any soup or other dishes to be honest. Don't order anything with steam rice; it's very blend & not properly cooked.
Once the food was delivered! That was it ! Nobody came to see how we liked the food ! Do you need anything? Even the plates were not picked up & invoice not delivered! Soup was ok!
This place is legit. The broth of fish soup noodles is so fresh. Unlike other Chinese places, it doesn't taste like Msg at all. All of dishes is so delish. The bubble tea is also good. I like there sheng Jian bao is definitely the best in town. You better hurry up. They sell these buns really fast.
The food are mostly in Cantonese style, the taste is ok, meet the expectations but not very high quality. The fish soup noodle is the only one to be recommended. The cleanliness is going worse since recent several time dine-in, the tables were oily, there were still food residues on the chairs. The most disgusting thing, an Asian man waiter serving meal & cleanup table by wearing the same blue glove, & I saw his finger (with glove) touched the soup when sending to the next table.... I donno that customer realized or not.. but I preferred bringing the soup from the robot by myself after...
Love the pumpkin fish soup! Favorite baked chicken rice with Malaysian curry! Super yummy! Our must eat combo😋
First time here. You can order via the app by scanning the bar code or flagging down a server to take your order. I ordered through the app. Good deal on the halibut meal. I got option #7 which was steamed with chili, garlic & preserved cabbage. Comes with a sizeable portion of rice & a soup. I think there's some cooking time for this as it took maybe 20 minutes for it to arrive vs other dishes arriving quicker. Delicious main dish. Soup was a bit lackluster as it tasted fishy yet missing some seasoning. The HK style milk tea was authentic tasting (strong, flavorful) & since it was in the steel mug, was still warm by the end of my meal. They had those serving robots that were for some reason also accompanied by servers. Seems to work as it allows more than just one table's order to be delivered & ensure people get the correct dishes. There was a minor issue of a side dish we ordered that didn't show up. I let the front desk know about the issue when paying & they removed it from my bill & provided a 10% discount for the trouble (without me asking). Great attitude. Enjoyed the HK diner vibe I got from the 2000s music playing as well. 😄 Definitely will come back as I want to try their laksa!
The malaysian laksa was the best spicy soup noodle we've ever tried! Thank you!
We ordered two soups was both had a single "spicy" logo next to them. One of them was slighly spicy as expected, the other one was just about impossible to eat without caughing & sweating my life. I suppose if there had been a server to take the order instead of ordering via a QR code on our cellphone, he would have been able to inform me. Kind of cool place & I may give it another chance, but that particular experience was more an ordeal than a pleasure time.
The Malay Laksa soup was flavorful & had the right amount of spicyness. I had a tom yum also which was very good ( my preference was the Malay Laksa but Hey! Taste is subjective , right ?) If you like your soup with a nice kick to it. Enjoy ! Service was excellent & very clean place.
This place is absolutely fantastic! We've been twice already, & each time, the food has been fresh, hot, delicious, & very generous portions. I can't believe I used to drive by this gem a few times a week without stopping in for a meal. It's definitely become my go-to spot from now on! The service is top-notch; even when they made a mistake with our order the first time, they quickly apologized & offered us a complimentary meal for the inconvenience. That's what I call excellent professional service! You simply have to try it out. My personal favorites so far are the laksa soup, crispy pork chops, & spring rolls!
