The katsu curry carries this restaurant on its back. Great dry (not oily) fry on the porkchop, crispy, & delicious Malaysian style coconut curry sauce. Legendary dish!!! The other things were okay, but not super special compared to other Hk diner style restaurants. Good milk tea & lemon tea too, but the katsu curry is the thing to get- also the only item with a star for recommend on the menu. Also lots of seating!
There were 4 issues when my partner & I were there the last time. Note, we are Caucasian. We have been there on at least 6 other occasions & have not had these issues before.
1, When we arrived & were seated, the waitress did not say one word, no hello or bonjour, nor a smile.
2. We were given water, when the other Asian patrons were served tea. We were not asked our preference.
3. We had made our choice when two other Asian patrons arrived about 10 minutes after us. They were served before us.
4. The dish we ordered was not available because the chef who makes it had already left. This was the teppanyaki, basically a stir-fry served on a heated cast iron dish. I cannot believe the other chefs were not able to make it.
Soup noodle portion is very generous & tasted great & is my comfort food. Loved their raddish cake add-on & HK coffee milk tea. The cat robot helping with shuttling around food is cute but a bit loud.

I paid $27 tax & tip included for a bowl of curry with 4-5 pieces of beef brisket & an iced milk tea. Some of the pieces were all fat. The flavour was not bad, but it's just overpriced. I don't mind high prices, but I expect value for the money I pay. Yin Ji also serves braised brisket noodles & they give you much more meat for similar price. Also, the onions & peppers in that curry were basically raw. Definitely not coming back.
I choose a soup noodle Malaysian Laksa. Choose your soup base, 2 choices of meats, sea foods or vegetables, noodle & it comes with free selected hot drink. Presented: laksa udon with shrimps (3), fish balls (3), lettuce, slices of mushrooms & lemon tea. For people who don't eat too spicy, Laksa is a good choice. The soup is creamy with coconut milk. It's one of the rare place that offer that meal.
Portion of beef tongue for $5 seemed too less...as one of them look partially bitten off & overall size looks like a veal's tongue. & I was expecting that the $4 specialllity milk tea had tapioca balls in it, but it did not have. Otherwise soup & taste of milk tea was still good. But the beef tongue is -1.
This is one of the few restaurants in Montreal that serve Hong Kong style milk tea, i always order their make your own soup bowl, but i found their garnitures are always overcooked, I think the reason for this is they kept the ingredients in a steam table to keeping it warm, the advantage of doing this is that they can quickly serve their food, overall, it is a good restaurant, i would recommend for you to try it if you are happan to be near Brossard area (South shore).
Update: the quality of the food has gone down sigificantly.
Super bon service , super bonne soupe !
Too bad used to be with very good service for taking our order no more. So that is the reason why better order with QR code. I think the robot is the only one with good service. Fried fish spaghetti is excellent with large portion of fish. Curry chicken taste great too. Hot milk tea not enough of milk while cold milk tea is excellent.
