First impressions: we were 2 people & arrived on a Monday at 11:30 am & saw about 7 or 8 groups ahead of us in line. We were expecting a 1 hour wait & would have been fine with that (we even brought out books to read in line). Nice surprise to see we got seated within 15 minutes. Service: waiter was very friendly & quick & came back several times to refill waters, even during the lunch rush. It took about 40 minutes to get our food after ordering, but again it was the lunch rush Drinks: my wife's $7.00 orange juice tasted suspiciously Tropicana (boo!), but my maple latte was great. Very sweet & tasted more like maple candies than maple syrup. Got an Americano after that which was nice. Food: started with the Chicken sandwich, which was huge & delicious. Fried chicken thighs (not breast) on a fluffy brioche with a herby creamy sauce on a bed of slaw that included granny smith apple. We cut it in half & shared. We added a side of fingerling potatoes which were crunchy & well seasoned with herbs & salt. Came with a side of garlic sauce, & went well together with the sandwich. Last we had the stack of pancakes which remained warm by the time we got to it. The pancakes were dense (not as fluffy as Arthur's) but intentionally so I think. The pool of maple butter at the bottom was awesome & did not get sponged into the bottom pancake. Came with lemon infused mascarpone on the side, which added some bitter to offset the sweet. I liked it, but my wife could have done without (but she still didn't give me her portion!) Overall was a great experience & would return to see what else Dandys has to offer!View more

A restaurant to SKIP if you're looking for a lunch spot. Food: overpriced, nothing special. Pasta was mid & the shrimp coquette tasted like pre-made grocery store food. Ricotta pancakes are the only worth while menu item. Service: As another reviewer mentioned, the wait for food is >15 minutes. This is excessive. Atmosphere: good looking interior, seating is decent.View more

Sept 2024 -Didnt like it. ordered chicken sandwich, ricotta pancake & breakfast avocado toast. All were OK. Food is overrated. Ambiance is good though. Coffee was OK too.View more

A friend told me about this place & it did not disappoint! Super convenient because it was close to our hotel. There is seating indoors & outdoors, & when we came on a Thursday afternoon we did not have to wait long. Many people checked on us & we were very well taken care of. My mom & I shared the endless summer breakfast & she loved it so much that she's going to try & make it at home! Really tasty ingredients that were fresh & healthy. I also had an iced maple latte which was really good! If we have more time I will come back & try the ricotta pancakes because they looked amazing & it seemed like there was one on every table!View more

Wow! That's all I have to say. I ordered the Ricotta pancakes & I was completely blown away. It was beautiful. I took a bite from a friend's chicken sandwich & wow! Applause. This was a delight. The food is pricey but worth it.View more

FOOD IS DELICIOUS!!!, a little bit expensive but the food is worth it, personally I choose the pasta & it was delicious, the pancakes were also perfect & exceed my expectations, however, the service from the waiter was rude, in a hurry & with an attitude, the busboys were really nice & were more concern about our table than the waiter, the waiter took wrong 3 different dishes, never ask us if we need anything, but when explaining our concern to the busboys they change it for us with a smile & without a problem, 10/10 the busboys!View more

Please go to Dandy for the ricotta pancakes!!! I would have ordered one of everything on the menu but decided on zesty salad, which was SO GOOD. The spiked pistachio matcha latte too! I dream about having lunch at Dandy after my visit 😂View more

Arrive early, we showed up just before they opened at 10am but there was already a line so we had to wait 1hr for second city. I initially regretted the wait but not after the meal! Chicken sandwich was fantastic & my daughter's loved the pancakesView more

Disappointing. I heard about the ricotta pancakes & had to try them. I make anginetti cookies with ricotta & they are super soft & light so I was imagining something similar. These were dense, with visible clumps of dry, bland ricotta. The syrup they were sitting in was a must. Restaurant was full on a Thursday at about 11 am - we were seated right away but the tables were so close together along a long bench that I had to move the table to sit down. No carpet or soft surfaces so sounded like a typical loud, busy diner. I tried to order a scrambled egg to get some protein with my pancakes & learned they would not serve their eggs scrambled, only poached or fried. I ordered hard over because I don't like a wet yolk. Came out so salty I could barely eat it. Maybe the chef was offended by my order? The experience just didn't live up to the the hype.View more

A stylish restaurant in a gorgeous historic building. First walking by at 11:30 am on Saturday & there was a long line. On Monday, we came 10 minutes before opening & there was a line also. Everything was delicious including the drinks! The servers were very sweet. The pancakes were a hit & the zesty salad might be the biggest salad I've ever seen but I almost finished it because it was so delicious. Highly recommended!View more

Of the many dishes we ordered, all of them tasted amazing. Almost no improvement is needed to make these dishes perfect. Probably the best meal I have eaten this year! If you're going to come here, I strongly suggest if you're coming for breakfast, to order the strawberry ricotta pancakes & the crispy smashed fingerling potatoes. The service was pretty good, bro not the best it could be. At first, our waiter seemed like he was very patient & wasn't afraid of talking, but almost when we were halfway done with our meal, our waiter seemed as if he didn't want to really talk & help us, however this didn't at all make an impact on the rating & my feelings of this restaurant. Don't forget to order the crispy smashed fingerling potatoes!View more

I've been to this restaurant twice & I want so desperately to like it, but it always just misses the mark for me. The first time, I tried their Ricotta Pancakes, not realizing the seasonal fruits are an extra charge! Overall, the pancakes were okay, but not as amazing as I expected them to be. Bacon is another extra charge & tasteless, which made for $7 down the drain. I also arrived as soon as they opened at 10am on the weekend & there was a bit of a wait, with a line out the door. The second time I went, I tried the Endless Summer Breakfast, which I enjoyed more than the pancakes. The seasoning on the avocado was absolutely delicious. The toast was a bit too hard for my liking, but the rest of the plate was lovely. This time, on a weekday around noon, there was no line. Both times, the wait to receive food after ordering was about 15 minutes long, enough time to chat but a bit too long for my tastes. Dandy is pricey, no doubt about it. If you want food & a drink each, you're looking about an $80 bill for two people.View more

The ricotta pancakes with strawberry were absolutely delicious - light, fluffy, & bursting with flavor. They were definitely the highlight of my meal. The mushroom toast & crispy smashed potatoes were also quite good, though I'd say they were more in the average range compared to the pancakes.View more

I recently had brunch here & overall, it was a pleasant experience. The ambiance was cozy & the staff were very friendly. Spectacular breakfast. We devoured it so quickly we didn't get very good pictures... lol. The depth of flavor on the pancakes, with the browned butter & maple syrup, were incredible. Pancakes were moist & fluffy. The strawberries were delicious--definitely worth it. The mushroom toast was unbelievable. I've never seen a restaurant go so hard on a mushroom dish. This toast was sauced generously, & piled high with fungi. The egg on top was perfect, too. Wow.View more

Breakfast @ Dandy !! I loved the vibes. Makes you feel you're in Italy somehow ! There was a 10 min wait, but that did not bother me. The staff were very nice & knowledgeable with the menu. I had the Ricotta Pancakes with the lemon butter. They come in a stack of 3 in a pool of maple syrup. It did not have the "wow" effect for me. I guess I am not a big fan of the zesty flavor or the added Ricotta. It took away from the original taste & flakiness of the pancake. They were good but different. Good choice for breakfast or lunch.View more
