Review Summary

Daigyo is widely praised as a top spot for matcha lovers, with many reviews highlighting the quality and variety of drinks such as strawberry matcha, strawberry oat matcha latte, hojicha latte, and a yuzu lineup that fans describe as bright and refreshing, along with a pistachio and matcha soft serve that many find addictive. The menu also features matcha desserts like red bean with matcha ice cream, and crisp citrusy highlights from the summer editions, all noted for balancing earthy flavors with sweetness. Service is repeatedly described as friendly and efficient, and the cafe is described as convenient for casual visits, with several reviewers calling it a second home. Some caveats appear, including occasional wait times, requests for a stronger matcha or less syrup, and critiques of an iced dessert that felt overly ice heavy or with too small an ice cream portion. Overall the sentiment is positive, with many customers saying they would return to try more flavors and considering Daigyo a reliable destination for high quality matcha drinks and desserts.

Their new mix soft serve of pistachio & matcha is sooo good 💚 Such a good place to get some drinks or desserts especially after shopping at T&T. Bonus: quick & friendly service from the staffs!

Its really good, you can really taste the matcha & the red bean adds a little bit of sweetness to it. Really good 10/10 would recommend. Its not too sweet not too bitter, a perfect dessert treat for an Asian mom🤣

I love that I don't have to travel to Japan to enjoy my favorite matcha dessert. It's one I keep coming back for again & again. The combination of matcha ice cream & red beans is out of this world, & if you dig to the bottom, there's even a delightful crunchy surprise waiting for you!

Yuzu season is here, & I got a sweet little invite to try Daigyo's limited-edition summer series 🍋✨

Daigyo's tucked inside the T&T Market in Montreal, which definitely has that strong Chinese meat & fish market smell when you walk in… not always the ideal spot to dine in, so I'd personally recommend grabbing your order to go.

Now for the good stuff:
I tried the full Série Citron Yuzu lineup, & my two favorites were the smoothie au citron yuzu & the crème glacée mélange matcha-yuzu.

🥤 The smoothie was super refreshing - icy, bright, & perfect for a hot summer day. A little on the sweeter side, but i think the tartness balances it out nicely .

🍦 The soft serve swirl? So good. I loved the combo of earthy matcha & citrusy yuzu - kind of a match made in dessert heaven.

If you're looking for a cool treat with a citrus twist, this is a fun limited-time lineup to check out.

Video coming soon. ✨ I spotlight my favorite local gems on TikTok @foxy.appetite & IG @foxyappetite - come hang out!

This tasting was gifted as part of a collab , sharing my honest thoughts above 🫶🏽
