Review Summary

Daigyo is widely praised as a top destination for matcha, with reviewers describing insanely good matcha that converts even a matcha skeptic into a fan and keeps loyalty high as people try almost everything on the menu. Favorites include hojicha and yuzu matcha floats and the strawberry oat matcha latte, described as delicious and well balanced, while the staff are often noted for friendly and quick service. Some comments mention occasional waits or a wish for a stronger matcha flavor in certain drinks, and one critique points to a disappointing ice cream portion. Overall, Daigyo is seen as a reliable go to for matcha lovers, offering a variety of drinks and seasonal treats in a market setting, with many highlighting quality, flavor, and repeat visits.

Its really good, you can really taste the matcha & the red bean adds a little bit of sweetness to it. Really good 10/10 would recommend. Its not too sweet not too bitter, a perfect dessert treat for an Asian mom🤣

The white peach & jasmine tea smoothie was so crisp & good.

Would definitely recommend it despite it being a matcha place!!

The workers there were also very good.

I paid $12 for an iced hojicha with ice cream & honestly, it was a huge disappointment. The ice cream portion was tiny-barely noticeable-& the cup was over 130% filled with ice. Literally filled with ice ,can't even put my straw in, there was almost no hojicha flavor at all. Because they poured it out just to make room for more ice. Not worth the price, i finished it with 2 sips & I wouldn't recommend it.

Yuzu season is here, & I got a sweet little invite to try Daigyo's limited-edition summer series 🍋✨

Daigyo's tucked inside the T&T Market in Montreal, which definitely has that strong Chinese meat & fish market smell when you walk in… not always the ideal spot to dine in, so I'd personally recommend grabbing your order to go.

Now for the good stuff:
I tried the full Série Citron Yuzu lineup, & my two favorites were the smoothie au citron yuzu & the crème glacée mélange matcha-yuzu.

🥤 The smoothie was super refreshing - icy, bright, & perfect for a hot summer day. A little on the sweeter side, but i think the tartness balances it out nicely .

🍦 The soft serve swirl? So good. I loved the combo of earthy matcha & citrusy yuzu - kind of a match made in dessert heaven.

If you're looking for a cool treat with a citrus twist, this is a fun limited-time lineup to check out.

Video coming soon. ✨ I spotlight my favorite local gems on TikTok @foxy.appetite & IG @foxyappetite - come hang out!

This tasting was gifted as part of a collab , sharing my honest thoughts above 🫶🏽
