Review Summary

Cuisine De Manille earns praise for authentic Filipino flavors, generous portions, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere with a variety of dishes that are often described as flavorful and comforting. The kamayan feast and tasting platters are a standout, offering a communal way to sample the menu, and the finger foods like fried chicken and pork items are frequently highlighted. Service is repeatedly noted as friendly and accommodating, and the space is described as clean and cozy, with staff going the extra mile in many instances. Some reviews mention consistency issues and value concerns, including dishes that feel oily or one note, items missing from special menus, higher prices for comparable portions, cold rice, and packing or napkin shortages, especially for takeout or busy times. Takeout and catering receive strong praise for reliability and presentation, with catering being a popular option for parties and celebrations. Overall, Cuisine De Manille is viewed as a solid go to for Filipino comfort food in Montreal, with multiple standouts and a lively, family friendly vibe, though some guests caution about variability and pricing.

We ordered food for delivery good for three person & tried the calamari, pork lechon, lumpia, fried chicken, & ensaladang talong.

Unfortunately, the calamari was very disappointing. It looked like leftovers-just a very small squid, poorly coated & not properly fried. We took one bite & had to throw it away. If this had been served while dining in, we would have returned it. It also did not match how it appeared on the menu.

The pork lechon was also unpleasant. The smell of the meat suggested it may have come from an uncastrated boar, which gave it a strong, off-putting odor.

The lumpia was acceptable, & my husband was able to eat it along with the fried chicken.

However, I personally did not enjoy the chicken due to its smell, which seemed like it may have been cooked in old oil.

The only dish I truly enjoyed was the ensaladang talong, along with the rice.

Overall, this experience was disappointing, especially considering the variety of dishes we ordered.

Food was extremely oily. But I am giving it a three stars because the cashier was nice.

Update: Yes, I am aware certain dishes are expected to be richer. We had the lumpia as a side, I don't think the excess oil was drained well enough. So we had some oil dripping.

Amazing food! Quick responses to inquiries. I inquired about having 7 dishes for my birthday. They were kind enough to answer & recommended portion sizes. Everyone loved everything but the chicken inasal, kare-kare, & pancit were the biggest hit! Portion sizes were more than what I expected.

I appreciate that they accomodated my order despite the restaurant being closed because they already have 2 events that day. They accomodated allergies as well. Amazing customer service! Would definitely order again.

AMAZING authentic Filipino food. I came there with my girlfriend & had the sisig, palabok, & halo-halo for dessert! AMAZING! I was actually born in the Philippines & had these dishes before, & eating here felt like home! Definitely recommend coming here!! We're also visiting from Massachusetts!! Definitely will be going back if we go back to Montreal!

I had a great dining experience at Cuisine De Manille! The food was absolutely delicious, & every dish was flavorful. I especially enjoyed the chicken & garlic fried rice, which had a rich & satisfying taste. The caldereta was incredibly tender & packed with flavor. But the highlight for me was the leche flan-it was so creamy & indulgent, clearly made with quality ingredients. The maís con yelo was also refreshing & delicious.

The only downside was that the service was a bit slow, & we had to wait longer than expected. However, the staff was very friendly & accommodating, making the experience worth it. One small improvement I'd suggest is the gravy for the chicken-it tasted too buttery & lacked the classic gravy flavor I was expecting.

Overall, the food was amazing, the place was clean, & the atmosphere was pleasant. Despite the wait, I'd definitely come back for the quality of their dishes. Highly recommended!

Cuisine de Manille never disappoints! I always go for the Kamayan feast, & it's absolutely delicious & huge. From the crispy fried calamari to the flavorful BBQ pork & chicken, every dish is paired with its own sauce & sides like pickled veggies that add a nice touch. They recently changed the eggplant boat in the feast to a mashed eggplant with tomato. While it's still tasty, I personally prefer the previous version. For dessert, I always treat myself to a halo-halo. The creamy richness of the leche cake combined with the refreshing shaved ice is the perfect ending to the meal. I've tried a few other dishes, but they didn't quite suit my palate-just personal preference! Overall, the food is amazing, & the staff are super friendly. One thing to note: there's a $1 extra charge for garlic fried rice, so keep that in mind. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

We ordered three dishes. Overall, the food was decent, & the prices were reasonable for what we received. However, the service follows a takeaway/food court motif, so tipping is entirely up to your discretion. If you want fried rice, be aware there may be a price difference that isn't clearly communicated. The pork soup was too sour for our taste; adding water didn't help balance the flavor, as it seemed they added lemon juice before serving. The skewers were tasty, but the adobo was unremarkable, possibly because our expectations were too high.😓

Nice place to eat - standard filipino fare for MTL, with the ordinary rice + meat or stew + some salad. Bopis (lung) I had once, & enjoyed (8/10), & the other dishes are fine - dinuguaan (6/10) & adobo (7/10). Everything is presented well & the atmosphere may be one of my favorites for restaurants in this area
