The pizza itself was good, & I don't have any major complaints about the food. While it wasn't the best pizza I've ever had, it was enjoyable.
Unfortunately, the dine-in experience was extremely disappointing. From the moment we arrived, it took a long time before anyone greeted us or took our order. Throughout the meal, no one came by to refill our water or check on us. After we finished eating, we sat with our empty plates for quite a while. Multiple staff members looked in our direction, but we were completely ignored.
When we finally asked for a box to take the remaining pizza home, it was simply tossed onto the table & we were told to pack it ourselves. Normally that wouldn't be a big issue, but after waiting over an hour for a meal consisting of just two medium pizzas, we were ready to leave & the lack of service was frustrating.
The dining area also felt very cramped. The tables were so close together that it was uncomfortable, & there wasn't even enough room for the server to properly place the pizza on our table.
To make matters worse, when I stood up to leave, I realized my white pants had been stained with honey sauce because there was sauce left on the chair from a previous customer. It was obvious the seating hadn't been properly cleaned.
The food was decent, but the poor service, disorganization, cramped seating, & lack of cleanliness completely overshadowed the meal. I wouldn't choose to dine in here again.
First time trying, but will not be the last. Came in near closing, but the young lady behind the counter was very kind & patient. Always test the margherita first, & it was great. The sauce really made this pizza. It is on the pricier side, but you notice the quality ingredients. She also recommended trying the spicy oil & honey, & both added different types of kicks & elevated the crust. It is worth the detour, will return & appreciate the great service!
We popped by for a quick bite & to try them for the first time. We took 2 small pieces of their square pizzas. We are hooked!! We ended up buying lots of other stuff including a baguette, some honey, olive oil, pasta sauce....to bring home. The food was around $25 to$ 30 I think
The young lady who served us was super friendly, helpful. & kind.
We will definitely go back & likely often.
I just came here for the first time on Saturday with family & we had a great time! The staff is happy to serve. Germano, the owner, is the best! What a humble & generous person. He sat down with us & spoke to us like we were his family. He takes pizza making to a whole other level! It shows that he's truly passionate about his craft, that he wants to share his knowledge & give others a culinary experience that they won't forget. We tried the Grandma, Toscana, & the Cup & Char pizzas. Topped with the hot honey & truffle oil…Soo good! The garlic knots were sensational too. I walked out with a fresh baguette, my cousin, a bag of pasta, & my brother bought pizza dough too. Grazie! A presto!
Best pizza in Montreal! I recommend getting the cup & char, accompanied with their Hot Honey. It was absolutely delicious & worth the price.
Absolutely fantastic! First time trying this place ! The pizza was delicious… we got the Americano & the west islander. They also provided us with some spicy oils & flavored honey, really nice of them.
The staff is super friendly, & the place is spotless !
First time but definitely not the last, keep up the great work. I will be back soon & often :)
Cugini's Pizza is easily one of the best gourmet additions to Pierrefonds & Kirkland. Since moving from Beaconsfield, this spot has completely elevated the local pizza scene. The moment you walk in, you can smell the difference. Fresh basil, bubbling cheese, quality olive oil, & the unmistakable aroma of a perfectly charred crust set the tone right away. Every pizza is made with care, tradition, & real passion, & you can sense it before the first bite even reaches the table.
The dough, sauce, & toppings taste exceptionally fresh, & the thin crunchy crust has become a favourite throughout the West Island. Many people, myself included, consider Cugini's the best pizza in the area. The prices are higher than what you find at basic corner pizza shops, but the quality more than justifies it. This is gourmet pizza done the right way.
Germano, the owner, adds a personal touch that shapes the entire experience. He takes pride in every detail, from selecting ingredients to creating a warm & welcoming atmosphere. The decor adds to the charm, with bold Stikki Peaches artwork that gives the space a colourful & creative feel while still keeping the comfort of a neighbourhood restaurant.
The menu is a standout. Their twenty four hour dough develops deep flavour & creates the perfect balance of chew & crunch. Both the classic round pizzas & the Grandma style square pies are must tries. The Pepperoni, Americano, Three Cheese, Il Bianco, & Margherita all showcase fresh ingredients that shine from the first bite. The Grandma square pizzas, especially the Cup & Char version with crispy pepperoni, ricotta, hot honey, & basil, are unforgettable.
Their specialty pizzas show real skill & imagination. Customer favourites include the Vesuvio with bold meaty flavour, the Napolitano with anchovies & fresh herbs, the Rapini with richness & a touch of bitterness, the Portofino with smoky & sweet notes, the West Islander with fresh & creamy toppings, the D.D.O. with deep earthy flavours, the Truffle with indulgent aroma, & the Toscana with a bright & balanced finish. Every pizza feels thoughtful & elevated.
I have eaten pizza in many cities, including Texas, New York, & Toronto. Cugini's is the best pizza I have had in a long time. Pierrefonds & Kirkland truly gained a gem. This is the kind of place you think about well after the meal is over.
Cugini's also offers take home pizza kits, fresh dough, & their house made sauces, which makes it easy to bring their amazing flavours into your own kitchen.
Owner gave us free slices of the granny pizza! Fresh ingredients, & every pizza was fantastic. Probably one of the best pizza doughs & sauce I've had.
Also hot honey & truffle honey at the table which is a really nice touch.
When we first walked into Cugini's we were welcomed wholeheartedly & the owner assured us that he could make any pizza we wanted into a foccacia bread pizza. This was our best decision of the night as the anchovie pizza on foccacia was amazing. Not to mention the garlic knots were also outstanding. The hot honey is also a must (amazing to find a hot honey that actually has spice). A little on the pricy side for pizza but if you're willing to splurge a bit it is well worth it
We recently tried Cugini's for the first time after hearing so many great things-& it absolutely lived up to the hype!
We ordered the Three Cheese & Margherita pizzas, & both were outstanding. The tomato sauce was flavorful, & the dough was excellent. One highlight that truly stood out was the Hot Honey sauce for the pizza-sweet & spicy in just the right way.
The customer service was also excellent-friendly & attentive, which made the experience even better.
Cugini's has definitely become our new go-to spot for pizza.
