Croissant Monkland sells some of the best bread in the neighborhood, which is why I try to go there. Alas, they have two widely-spaced steps in front of the store. This is a barrier for me -- I need a walker to get around. There is a railing, which helps. I try to go with a friend, who can hold the spring-loaded door open while I struggle with the walker.
They offer pastries, both savory & sweet, & very pleasant light lunches.View more
Whenever I'm in the area, I grab a pastry here. I got an almond & a chocolate & almond pastry today. Delicious! I took some olive bread for tomorrow. I haven't tried it yet but it looks & smells good. :)View more
The almond croissant had no volume, was soggy, & the texture was terrible. It tasted awful. The staff put the croissant & blueberry tart in the same paper bag, so the croissant absorbed the blueberry flavor. I bought more than 10 types of bread, but they didn't put them in a shopping bag. Instead, they left 4 small paper bags & a cake box on the counter after I paid & just stared at me. There are far better bakeries in Montreal than this one. Don't go here. I do not recommend it. View more

I absolutely love this little bakery! The croissants are delicious (the raspberry one is out of this world), as are their chocolatines & fresh bread.View more
Possibly one of the best eclairs in Montreal. So simple yet so good. Fantastic bread. Proper French selection of viennoiseries & patisseries depending on the season - they had galette des rois for example.View more
This place is very popular by the line up to the door which moves very fast. Baguettes, breads, sandwiches, pastries like mille-feuille, crème caramel are just a few of the delectable desserts offered. A small lit up Eiffel tower in the corner hints at the quality of gastronomical delights offered here.View more
Great croissants & bread with a variety of selection. Highly recommend the almond & the Nutella croissants.View more
It’s been a couple of years since I started going there now. I really like the location; it’s a nice place. However, I still find that some of the pastries are too sweet for my taste. For example, the Nutella Croissant has too much Nutella, making it overly sweet. I find the same thing with the blueberry croissants. They have generous fillings, but it’s just too much sweetness for me. Perhaps other people love it, though. The bread tastes very good, just like in Paris. The staff changes often, but they are all pretty nice.View more
