Review Summary

Crêperie St-Paul sits in the heart of Old Montreal, and reviews describe a cozy second floor café with a relaxed, unhurried vibe and a charming street view. The place is praised for solid value and a wide range of crepes, from Nutella and strawberry to savory options like chicken and bacon, often paired with good coffee. The atmosphere is repeatedly called welcoming and easygoing, a convenient stop for tourists and locals alike seeking a casual bite. Some guests highlight fast service and friendly staff, while others mention slow or inattentive service, language barriers, or occasionally bland or inconsistent dishes. Overall, it comes across as a nice, approachable spot in a picturesque area that delivers tasty crepes and fair prices, though with mixed impressions about repeat visits depending on the visit and service on that day.

Cozy place on the second floor. It's was a fairly busy time on a Sunday at the beginning of summer, but it wasn't very busy at all at 6:15, we were just the second table. By 7 PM it wasn't half full yet.

Crepes are about $15-20 each for a main course savoury crepe - they come with a fresh side salad - which was a light tasty side.

We tried 4 different savoury crepes - I would say that the crepes become a vehicle for the food, rather than the star attraction itself. The crepes are decent, fairly thick. For those who are unaware, the Quebec style is a thicker, crepe than you may get elsewhere (like Paris). I prefer the Paris version where it's crispy & elevated everything else. In this case, the food is great, but the crepe didn't really stand out at all.

The salmon & cream cheese surprisingly worked out as did the chicken & bacon (which I would have called corned beef instead of bacon).

We had a picky 9 year old who refused to eat it though, but that's more about him than the quality of the food.

This is a great place for a sweet crepe. Specially the Nutella & Banana. It's so great & tasty that everyone should try it!
The service is ok, good.
The place is not big but with a great atmosphere.

A bit of a wait but the food was worth it .. the burghers were meaty & juicy .. the crepes were uniquely tasty without being too heavy. Over-all can make a mistake in any of the choices!
