About

Cotard Chocolatier specializes in the production of artisanal chocolates and confectionery items crafted with traditional techniques. The selection features a variety of ganaches, pralines, and truffles that incorporate diverse flavor profiles and textures. Each piece is constructed using tempered chocolate of high cocoa content to ensure a consistent finish. The facility functions as a dedicated sweets shop where refined sugar confections are prepared on-site for immediate consumption. These treats highlight the technical skill required to balance sweetness with the natural bitterness of ethically sourced cocoa butter. Visitors interact with displays that showcase the meticulous process of tempering, molding, and finishing chocolate components. This establishment serves as a primary destination for individuals seeking high-quality cocoa products designed for connoisseurs of the craft.

My mother's first time visit, bought some chocolates as a special gift for my aunts birthday...
51.80$ for a box of 16 chocolates!

Plus she bought a small box of
'Écorces de canneberges séchées & chocolat lait'
(that's what it says on the package instead of chocolat au lait!)

The packaging is FALSE advertising as there is a 2.2 cm fake bottom to make the box look full!!! That is almost 1 inch! So there were technically like 3-4 little pieces of the chocolate! For 12.95$

Total of 75$ with tax 😱

Plus she said the atmosphere was cold apart the clerk, possibly Ghyslaine, as that's the name on the bill...

The chocolate was ok at best...
But nothing worth that price!!!
Lindt or Ghirardelli is by FAR SUPERIOR!

We will not be going back for sure!

Hopefully you don't either!

1/2 a ⭐

Your's truly

Darren.

An incredibly large & delicious selection of chocolates, a very sweet & lovely sales associate, &'very reasonable' prices. We paid $80 for two small bags of chocolates & one heart-shaped milk chocolate 🥳

Service is very rude. The chocolate, for the price, is not one to brag about, in my opinion. When I expressed how a chocolate tasted, the chocolatier practically reprimanded me. There are ways of explaining & these people do not have the way. While they declare to be a'chocolaterie maître' I digress. I worked with real chocolaterie in Paris & these people need a lesson . Not impressed. Definitely will not return.

Tried the chocolate, it tasted horrible & was extremely overpriced for nothing. They make no money & tag along with the bakery next to them. They have this huge seating area where literally no one sits in because no one buys from them... anyway they kick out anyone who sits there & they aren't nice about it either, there's a way to be polite & then theres the workers of cotard. Hope they go bankrupt 💖

Chocolate was fine, but extremely overpriced. Bought 3 small items & it cost me 50$. Paid 10$ for a tiny bar that had a few nuts in it & was just ok, no better than any basic brand you can buy at Walmart. Packaging was annoying to open as well.

As usual, delicious chocolate but so expensive... Anyway, I always prefer quality to quantity & my scale is happy 😆
