Had a breakfast with my daughter. Potatoes arrived uncooked. First mention the waitresss said'j'peux rien faire monsieur' basically'there's nothing we can do'. A few minutes later I asked what she meant about the comment earlier & she replied'je travaille pas en arrières' as if why am I telling my waitress instead of the kitchen ?!

Then she started asking me how I like my potatoes when I got upset & suggest she would see if the kitchen staff could do it. As if'cooked' is some special request that they usually don't accommodate. The whole thing was very weird.

I suppose if you visit, you should specify that you like potatoes'Medium Rare or Well-Done', they might not ask you but it's good to be specific about your preference apparently.
